That one doesn't work either. I have it and can't get it to work. When I plug it in, it just shows blank red lines. I would keep it plugged in for at least two minutes and nothing shows. I read somewhere that the new Hobbywing program box G2 with the blue lettering is the one you have to use.
Hi folks, I'm a long time RCer but a first time poster to this forum. I currently have the FW- F-86, A-6 & T-33 jets. Love em all. Just purchased the F9F-8. This plane is also the first time I'll have a gyro in a plane. I connected it all up and everything worked except that the gyro control for the ailerons in backward. I read through the instruction manual and it basically says that if any of the gyro functions is not correct, then they will need to be reset. I also read through the gyro instruction manual but there was nothing that mentioned how to reset or reprogram it. It did give a brief set of basic information on the functions of the programming module which I assume would perform the modification I need, which is purchased separately. Is there any way to perform this basic gyro function without the programming module? I'd love to fly this plane this week but have to get the gyro working.
Thanks for any info.

Welcome. Unfortunately to reverse the direction you need the programmer. To fly it you can plug in a male to male for the modes and just turn off the gyro until you get a programmer or just decide it doesn't need the gyro and bypass it.
Thanks for all of your replys. Now, I really feel like a dolt. I went back out to finish up some little things on the F9F and I powered her up. I took notice again concerning the ailerons. and holy S*!^, it seemed to be working. And then I saw the error in my ways! Earlier while I was tipping the wings to check the movement of the gyro, I was inadvertently looking at the flap surface as the aileron. As the real aileron went up, as it should, it gave the illusion that the flap, which I was thinking was the aileron, was going down. I lift the right wing up and the right aileron goes up as it should. Same with the left side. Oh well, I do appreciate your time to respond. But the good thing is that I should get to maiden her this week.
Thanks again!
Rick
I took the Cougar out for the maiden flight this morning. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little aprehensive maidening a new plane and my maiden flight using a gyro. Yep, I'm old and I'm old school. But the anxiety was all for naught. The Cougar flew solidly, trimmed up quickly and landed softly. The reverse thrust worked as advertised. Another great addition to my warbird stable.

I should get mine later this week. Does the ESC come with the reverse thrust already programmed, or do I need to set it up via the programmer or computer?
I got mine this week...I plugged the cables from the gyro into a spectrum AR 8000...But when I move the sticks, with all modes of the gyro,All panels move a bit gibberish, not smooth, even flaps and gear doors, what could be the problem? Best regards from the Netherlands
any ideas when Cougar parts/planes will be back in stock?
most everything related to the airframe shows "sold out". is there a difference between "back ordered" and "sold old" or just semantics?
Question, I have a gutted fms BAE Hawk 80mm. What do y'all think dropping the 12 blade 80mm and the esc from that into the Cougar arf plus? Good match or not?
