High KV motors but they have really good half throttle performance as well. The new Scorpion was clocked in excess of 130mph.... but still getting about 4 mins flight time and not hard on batteries... I am gonna get a lot of planes here over the next few months...

I am planning on getting an ARF plus here pretty soon and will be dropping in my 4082 1600kv inrunner set up. It worked great on my F-15 and since the F-16 is a cleaner air frame I am thinking it will do even better.

In everyone's humble opinion, are the Flaperons necessary or helpful on this ship?

My buddy runs his on 8s, I will ask him about what he had to do to get the batteries to fit, I know it's a tight fit, CG is fine if you can get them jammed to the back as much as possible. I did the maiden on it and I had his CG set about 110-112mm which is where I run mine at on 6S. I can tell you this much, he said it wasn't worth it, he wishes he would have kept it on 6s, didn't gain much, maybe a little more thrust is all, but the weight is more, of course he is running brakes and another small lipo plus the two large 4S lipos. I do all of his test flights right now until he gets more jet time and figures out how to land it. I feel the difference in power but it's not a huge difference to me. He was able to get the two 4S batteries side by side in there though and still adjust the CG.
