  • Der BAE Hawk fliegt vom Gras, wenn er kurz und gut gehalten ist, aber nicht zu groß ... Fügen Sie das verbesserte Fahrwerk hinzu, um zu helfen … Sorry if this is not proper German!!!

          • Der Hawk ist ein netter Jet. Es ist schnell, aber einfach zu fliegen!

Und einfach zu landen, I hope! I’ve had enough of bouncing my Venom, hoping the Hawk’s landings will be a bit less bouncy and a bit more “einfach”!;)

              • I hope so too!!!! The Venom and the YAK and the A-10 and others have bouncing issues, but when you get the right AoA, it comes in pretty smooth. I am not judging... I broke the front retract on my A-10 the first flight, and knew about the bounce issue.... SO...……… :Silly:;)

Ich mag den A3-L gyro. Es kostet ca. 23.00 USD und funktioniert super!

                    • Seems like the upgraded gear has been out of stock forever on the Hawk. Really hope it comes back in stock soon.

                          • I have bought the Hawk as well and find the flight line control board very decent. It cleans up the wiring quite a bit.
As I am building a bigger F86 in parallel, I am wondering whether I could use this control board as well. Does anybody have any experience, any constraints I should know about? Motion RC lists a selected number of aircrafts for these boards, and I am not able to understand why these restrictions would apply. Thanks for any help,

                            BR, Harald

Harold. This is the first plane I have used one of these in. However, like you, I cannot understand why it would not work in other planes as well. I don't see any issues.

                              • I’m just putting my Hawk together guys, when these first came out a strengthening piece was sent out afterwards to stop the nose from breaking off. I don’t seem to have this piece with my jet, but there is a white plastic piece built in where my screwdriver is pointing in the picture.
Is this the new strengthening piece or do I need to add something myself? Thanks

As I understand it, yes you are correct. They have fixed that "breaking" issue. Mine is just like yours, already has the mod done to it. However, keeping Carbon Fiber rods on hand is a good idea. I have had to reinforce my rebel in the same places. Gorilla glue and small carbon fiber rods work perfectly.

                                  • No, that is not it. They are some clear plastic pieces that should already be installed where the fuse is put together.

                                    • I will look at mine again tonight and snap a pic for you so you can see the mod.

                                      • OK thanks guys, I don’t have any clear plastic pieces either installed or separate.

I would contact MRC. I think they will send you the pieces to fix it with. Don't quote me on that but I thought I saw that somewhere on here.
