I have bought the Hawk as well and find the flight line control board very decent. It cleans up the wiring quite a bit.
As I am building a bigger F86 in parallel, I am wondering whether I could use this control board as well. Does anybody have any experience, any constraints I should know about? Motion RC lists a selected number of aircrafts for these boards, and I am not able to understand why these restrictions would apply. Thanks for any help,
BR, Harald

Harold. This is the first plane I have used one of these in. However, like you, I cannot understand why it would not work in other planes as well. I don't see any issues.Originally posted by Harald Horn View PostI have bought the Hawk as well and find the flight line control board very decent. It cleans up the wiring quite a bit.

I’m just putting my Hawk together guys, when these first came out a strengthening piece was sent out afterwards to stop the nose from breaking off. I don’t seem to have this piece with my jet, but there is a white plastic piece built in where my screwdriver is pointing in the picture.
Is this the new strengthening piece or do I need to add something myself? Thanks1 Photo

As I understand it, yes you are correct. They have fixed that "breaking" issue. Mine is just like yours, already has the mod done to it. However, keeping Carbon Fiber rods on hand is a good idea. I have had to reinforce my rebel in the same places. Gorilla glue and small carbon fiber rods work perfectly.Originally posted by Mark 2 View PostI’m just putting my Hawk together guys, when these first came out a strengthening piece was sent out afterwards to stop the nose from breaking off. I would contact MRC. I think they will send you the pieces to fix it with. Don't quote me on that but I thought I saw that somewhere on here.Originally posted by Mark 2 View PostOK thanks guys, I don’t have any clear plastic pieces either installed or separate.
