Brand new here wanted to say Hi and say that is some nice looking Bomber, I was looking at the smaller one offered by MRC and keep thinking wish there was a bigger one and what do ya know here one is! This will be great for all those smaller P51 and such fighters to escort around the field and defend against those enemy fighters. Any way looking forward to this one.

Alpha. Enjoyed the podcast. I was most curious about your comment mentioning that you cancel a plane idea a month. You mentioned a Horton as one that was canceled. Which is not surprising. You offered the interviewers a chance to ask if there were planes they wanted that might be on the canceled list. Missed opportunity for the interviewers IMO. Can I ask if the Do335 is on that list? Man, I would buy one of those. :-)

I signed up for ten minutes or something, but Chris and Andre were so great, that we ended up talking for 3 hours. Go figure!

100% Everytime I fly a military bird I almost always think to myself "some kid got in one of these without any idea if it would be there last time" or even better thinking about the first pilot for any new planes maiden. Like they had no idea if it would work or not, but the pilot jumped in a basically said "we'll never know unless I try it, uuh wish me luck?"

Also, I have never really liked the word "model" when it comes to these, models are static, these are not. haha. Most of us have way more respect for the hobby than this and do not see them as toys in any form. (I mean any thing is a toy to us adult kids, but you get what I mean) the hobby is headed in a direction we only dreamed up 8 years ago.

Having had and crashed five HK B-17's and having not flown a 4 engine bird for over a year, preordering the olive scheme B-24 gave me a chill. Detailing is going to be a real challenge trying to decide on paint scheme and decals. Callie Graphics has some wonderful ones to choice from. And tranporting her is going to require some special handling in my Ford Escape.

Same for me! Some of our 3D fliers are our field think it's boring to watch a war bird fly around not doing extreme maneuvers, I tell them I enjoy seeing the plane in the air and I think about what these brave men endured in wartime. My Freewing B-17 I fly pretty scale most of the time, a loop or roll here and there but mostly scale. I plane on flying the B-24 scale with an occasional loop or roll.

I think many lack the imagination that Warbird Lovers do as they don't try to imagine what it was like for those who actually flew them. Same thing on like Veterans Day I try to imagine what it was like in the trenches of France or storming the beaches of Normandy and if I would have made it out alive. I think too many just think of having the day off and not the why we have it. IMO

Hands up all those who remember the B-24 balsa kit by Jack Stafford. This was a 90" model built up from balsa and ply designed for 4 X 0.19 size glow engines. I remember building one for a guy back in the mid-70s. After I'd finished it I always wanted one for myself but never had one until now. I've also ordered the "T" shirt from Bunker 27.
