Got started on my build and have the following updates on the scale rims. Thingiverse

The OEM nose gear wheel measures 2.4inch and has very little radial clearance to the support strut. The Robart 2.5inch wheel measures ~2.64inch which results in interference with the support strut. I will evaluate the Robart 2.25inch wheel as a possible mitigation for this issue. Hope it fits without modification to the rim.

Metal finish on the nose gear strut look pretty bad. Hope the metal structural integrity isn't compromised.

The OEM main tires measure 3.33inch and the Robart 3.5inch measure ~3.53inch. The increased diameter can cause interference between the outboard gear door and the Robart tire. Moving the wheel inboard can address this issue. Removing the OEM 1.75mm aluminum spacer will create space for the outboard gear door to close. A ~1mm washer may replace the spacer with minor adjustment of the outer gear door push rod.

The 3.5inch looks great but the fit to the gear door remains a close fit. I don't think the tires touch the doors on my setup. However, if you prefer more clearance, Robart 3.25inch should fit on the printed rims also.

PS - Thanks JD for the feedback!

It is such a nice warbird. And thankfully as a bomber, it actually has that capability.

Evan, I saw your posting. That would be 19 and 38.1 mm respectively. I will give that a shot. Thank you.

Have mercy. I must be brain dead. I reviewed the manual again and lo and behold, I found the flap settings. Completely missed them.

Question: What are you guys using as flap settings. I am going to review the previous posts but I thought I would ask. If the flap settings are in the manual, I must have missed them. I saw the elevator mix suggestion in the manual.

I put my plane together. Although the cardboard box was extremely damaged, not even a scratch on the plane itself. Everything was perfect thanks to the way MotionRC packs their planes for shipping. The plane itself went together even more easily than the videos demonstrated. The only challenge I had was getting the wing spars lined up. The wing takedown is marvelous. My spectrum receiver, that was a problem but that isn't MotionRC's concern. Got that squared away as well.

Possibly-maybe if it was packed on the top and/or sides of the intermodal container. Temps in the California holding yard for all them weeks was probably very warm-and very toasty inside the metal oven container unless it was staged inside a building or under cover all them weeks in the queue. I received my today and every part is in pristine condition true to MRC QC I've experienced in the past. MY only gripe for now is the cheap latching method used for the canopy. The retractable pin in the fuse just sticks into foam in the canopy. At this price point MRC should have provided a plastic reinforcement hard point to receive the pin. Yes, they did this also on the Bronco OV10 I have but its only a $400 plane.

Mike, Welcome to Hobby Squawk, Sir.

If you are able, post a few pictures of your issue.

Uncertain about the heat explanation, as the whole box would have to 'heat soak' down to the paint finish.

With all that 'foam and cardboard' inbetween, the airframe is well insulated.

If there is a real issue, document it!

Motion RC has great Customer Service.

    Best, LB

Looks like Ace Ventura delivered it! Hopefully the interior is in good shape.

B-25 parts are in this shipment. it will take a few days to unbox/count all the B-25 parts and put them away. As soon as that is done, we will put all the B-25 parts in stock.
