I'm not in favor of putting crew members in the nose, turret and tail gun. They are never there during takeoff and landing for safety reasons. The only time was when Alan Arkin gave the finger to the tower as his Catch 22 B-25 was taxiing. This is how the gunner should look in the top turret:

I ordered three 1/13 scale pilots for my B-25 from RC Geek Chris Wolf, and painted them up this afternoon in Pacific Theater type uniforms. Came out ok, I think. I modified one of the "Toy Story" pilot busts that came with the kit a bit to fit in the top turret gunner position.

Cool! I would have preferred being able to get a full body pilot for the nose, but that's ok. Things worked out.

A full body crewmember would be great but there is not much room in the nose section. Here is a pic of my 7 year old son in Tondelayo back in 2013. I am going to try to craft up a set of legs for the pilot from RC Geek.

Yeah, pretty cramped in there, even for a 7 year old! Once the greenhouse glass is installed, it's hard to see that the crewmember is missing the rest of his body. You'd have to concentrate to notice that when looking at the model. I was fine with putting the body on a dowel so that he sits at the right height.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Last fall I crashed my B-25J Mitchell. I can accept that it was pilot error, as usual, have spent several hours and days rebuilding (which I enjoy as much as flying) and I am almost finished with the rebuild. Then I came across a problem with Gear, Sequenced doors and the Blue Box (Model 1713) the one with the on-off button. After extensive research, even reached out to a friend who also bought the plane and his arrived on the same weekend, asked him to look at his Blue Box and let me know where the Landing Gear, and Gear doors plug in, only to find that he has a model 1712 (without the on/off) button. If anyone has Pictures of the connections or a specific wiring diagram for B-25J using the Model 1713 Blue Box could you post them for me to review and try, I really want to see this fly this spring. Thank you, I have enjoyed reading through all of your posts.

On mine each gear door servo lead (one from the left wing and one for the right wing) is plugged into a Y-harness which plugs into the "Double Stage Door" slot of the E2 Controller (Blue Box).

I just found this plane and am interested but I’ve only flown Eflite planes that have Safe and AS3X capability. Never flown anything by FlightLine or even Motionnpro. Does the B25 have that type of capability?

Not to my knowledge, if anything, ask the MotionRC CS Rep in the chat option on their website.

I am modifying and repainting my B-25 and have not yet gotten to the electrics.

These will accept any TX/RX combo as those are required to finish the model.

However, I am not familiar with the Eflite Safe and AS3X capability electronics.

AS3X and SAFE are built into the receiver. Get a Spektrum receiver with them and set them up and you got it. You’ll find the B-25 is better quality than you’re used to.

The B-25 does not come with a receiver so you can put what ever type you like into it. If you use a Spektrum Rx which is AS3X & SAFE capable, the B-25 can be set up to fly with it. There are a few videos on YouTube which can walk you thru the process. FGFRC did a decent one in the last year or so.

Best to set it up at home. Check EVERYTHING twice. Then have someone at your field or local hobby shop check it one last time. After you do a couple of them, it becomes pretty easy.

Mine has an AR8360T which is set up to include AS3X an SAFE. I use the 7th channel for the bomb bay doors and the 8th for independent control of the nose wheel steering.

Yep 4 me fat guy flys was what helped me set up as3x.. only trouble I had was the ailerons were correcting wrong way so reversed them.. vwala. Watch it over and over.. it will eventually make sense Oh watch it in conjunction with reading the receiver instructions

If you have the spare channel you can add that reverse brake on your receiver and assign the switch on your radio to activate that function which basically acts like a speed brake to slow your landing roll out.
