That actually looks good from a raw perspective. Just make the sanding blocks and do it by hand. Put the electric away.. you have more control with your hand.. That actually has the potential to look really good broski...Cut it down with the 80 & 100 grit. .

Purchased? Argh.... uve broken my💔 LOL u can few strips of 3/4 mdf or ply and use 3m 77 spray adhesive to fix the sand paper to the blocks Use a different grit on each side of the block. Trim it away perfect with exacto, razor blade, box cutter..... We are cheap 😄 and buy very little. I go through great effort to work with what I have already laying around the house when I can. its good to have the blocks you purchased I just hate to see you spend alot of money.. Sometime you might need to make a certain sized block any way to make work eazy in a small are where a big block wont go.. Say you had built the boat and you wanted to sand in between the bulkheads. Then you make a small sanding block. The wet dry works better because when it loads up with debris you can wash it away. If you do that you'd probably want to stick the sand paper to blocks out of marine or treated ply. The MDF will just swell up on you but I use it to make dry sanding blocks all the time.

Clugh, the painter contacted me to go ahead and bring the boat in so I did yesterday. Price for everything is pretty darn reasonable. Thank you again for your offer it was very appreciated.
I'm currently looking for a boat stand for her. Not the PVC pipe kind. Something a bit more robust that I could paint and add decals to (I have a spare set of Pak decals from a different decal maker). Any ideas? I've been looking around and can't find anything like that for a 1/8 scale unlimited.
Also, I am trying to figure out what to use for that ring in the middle of the turbine tube (see photo below). Any thoughts on that would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

Funny you should say that, I contacted Mike last night and said I was looking for a nice stand but didn't quite need that scale stand...(or the expense which doesn't include the axles/wheels)...He said he thought the GSX480 kit stand might work but it's still not quite what I am looking for. I'll keep looking. Thanks! My YouTube RC videos:

"Epoxy glass stack?" Not sure what that means? As for cells I have no idea. I bought the motor and ESC and have no idea what it's meant for as nobody has told me? I assume 6 or 8 cell? I need to find the invoice to even remember what the part info is. It's already installed in the boat. I just need to add a receiver, prop, batteries and radio. And I am not a member of any club, this is merely a leisure boat I will run on my own at a quiet lake.

Btw
A good nitro 1/8th scale is a dying breed but I am considering a real turbine.
