Don't have any information on it but this may rattle a few brains for those who were there.

Any of you guys seen the Douglas XB-43? Talk about a bizarre looking plane! Those twin fighter-style cockpits give it a real frog or gecko look.

You know, once you start looking at the old videos of prototype planes on Youtube, more of them appear on the home page. Check out the XP-55, a pusher-prop, swept-wing, canard aircraft from pre-WWII. This would make a great EP foamie.

I know its been done by others, but Flightline/Freewing just seem to do it better. I'd love to see them come out with some 1450-1600mm warbirds ( Updated P51, P47, Corsair, Hellcat,Bf109, Fw190, Zero etc) to accompany their 1600 Spitfire and P38.

There's a few Beavers out there; but how about that original Northern bush plane, the Noordyn Norseman....An addition to the floatplane option...

I built one of these, but, would love a better looking production version. It would be easy to do with a contrarotating outrunner set up. I know it will never happen, but, I can dream. The first one flew great, but, is not the best scale rendition. I am probably going to build another with a different lighter technique. This is the perfect model for RC. It has no torque issues. It has trike gear. The wing is large and it has lots of character. One of my favorites.

The Soviet Union did love their counter-rotating props, including using them to excellent advantage on the Kamov helicopters.

Yeah, that's true, but I don't think anyone is going to repaint their AF Phantom in gray. Most of these pics are with Navy birds. I liked this one as it had 2 Phantoms in the pic. :)

Here's a couple Navy birds escorting a Bear over the Nimitz.
Pic from my 76 Med cruise book.
1MC announces "Launch the Alert 5". Off go the F-4's in full AB until they intercept the Bear.
F-4 flown by VF-74 "Bedevilers" and the EA-6B flown by VAQ-130 "Zappers"
The USA aircraft always flew between the Russian bomber and the ship so that the photos that were being taken by the USSR of our ship had our planes in them.;)
