I would freak out if that happened, that is by far my favorite plane.

Given it's long development time, it makes you wonder if it's rather complex and expensive (twin 80mm, with swing wings perhaps?) and I wonder if it's an F-111 since Alpha hinted at it being SEA as I heard prior on this thread?

To fit the criteria for FOIL, cloud atlas, and SEA operation...
Foil: fly low under radars at Mach 1+ without need for fighter escort/EW aircraft, in bad weather to boot, foiling enemy attempts to intercept it
Cloud Atlas: concept gave rise to the F-14 from the Navy, and the Russians took notice with it to design the MiG-23 and MiG-27
SEA: Once fixed, it proved itself over Vietnam with a decent combat record.

So, is it an F-111? It'd be interesting if it was, though I still like my MiGs...
That would be pretty cool, there is one at my local air museum

I went to the Jets over Pampa 2018 page where Stuart said there may have been the next announcement (on the off chance there may have been some pics) and it says it was cancelled due to drought...:(Any chance of an announcement anyway? + pretty please ....:Silly:

I like your thinking but I suggest FOIL will be a B1/A or B1/B Lancer

              Foil:
fly low under radars at just under Mach 1 without need for fighter escort/EW aircraft, in bad weather to boot, foiling enemy attempts to intercept it.
              Cloud Atlas:
The B-1 was first envisioned in the 1960s as a platform that would combine the Mach 2 speed of the
              B-58 Hustler
with the range and payload of the B-52, and would ultimately replace both bombers, B-1A cancelled in 1977
SEA: restarted in 1981 as the B-1B
              ,
It first served in combat during Operation Desert Fox
in 1998 and again during the NATO action in Kosovo
the following year. The B-1B has supported U.S. and NATO
military forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.

If in fact MRC was planing an announcement at Pampa as Stuart hinted, I doubt it would be another US fighter/bomber/ interceptor. With that audience, it's more likely to be a Mig, Raffale, or something else Euro/Soviet . I love the idea of the F-111 made most famous in the the Reagan retaliation bombing of Libya ( Operation Eldorado Canyon). The swept wing Mig 23 & 27 as mentioned above would be very cool. So would a Panavia Tornado. Twin 80, swept wing, flew low, all weather ( Falklands) Just saying.
                    Currently flying: Twin 80mm A-10, 80mm F5, 80mm A6, 70mm Yak-130, 70mm F-16v2,90mm Stinger 90, 70mmRC Lander F9F, Flightline F7F TigerCat, Phoenix 46 size Tucano, Flyzone L-39
                    Out of Service: 80mm Mig-21,64mm F-35, 64mm F/A-18
                    I Want: 80mm A-4, twin 80mm F4J Phantom

Hello Hawk! Yes we were definitely hoping to be able to make an announcement had the aircraft arrived in time (as Stuart mentioned) for the show, but it didn't. He wanted to maiden it at the show but the show not only got cancelled, but the product hadn't arrived in time. We are getting closer, hang on tight

                        Thanks James,

I'm very happy to wait. It's fun to speculate. Have plenty of great Freewing jets to fly. And my wallet gets a little time off. It's been brutally too hot to fly here anyway. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be another home run.

I caught this in the video that Motion posted today honoring George (Tirediron) for 2 years of consecutive flying. Notice that Alpha is using a little plane to talk as if the plane were talking. That sure looks like a Dassault Mirage F1 to me. I wonder if Alpha is telling us what's coming without coming right out and saying it. He's sneaky like that!

Could it possible be a TSR2? the model alpha shows in the video looks like one as the tail is a bit less rounded than a mirage f1... maybe its just wishful thinking. Nose doesnt look right :(

EDIT: looking at the video it seems to have turned down wingtips, like TSR2 but not like the Mirage f1.... could it be?

also, Im a bit out of the loop but if this is project foil the name could be explained by the thin film of gold foil/film over the canopy on the TSR2 used to protect the crew's eyes from the flash of a nuclear blast

Matt Younkin performing in the Twin Beech. It doesn't get any better than that! These are screen grabs from today's live stream of the airshow at Airventure. I think we need a Beech 18 done up in his colors!
