  • Interesting video on some of the best Navy liveries of the F4, gotta agree on top 2. On 8S and Spectrum Plus RX, the F4 has become one of my top favorite military jets to fly.

        • Last few months i've been giving my F4 a new paint sceme. I used several painting and weathering techniques used by the static model builders. Giving the metal parts a authentic look was quite a challenge, as was the rising sun on the tail.. must say i'm pleased with the result. This is how the full size looked in September 1975.. Enjoy the photo's! Regards, Didier Click image for larger version

            • Awsome job Didier n. Looks incredible... Great dtail.. I've ordered a grey arf plus.. I think 💬 my current is south east Asia Camo. Have also ordered .. an fms 1500 kV 8 s.
The fwing 8 s is 1350 kV. Which is awesome.
.. but just like to try stuff..(why not ). Not sure if yours is 6 or 8 s.. if 6 8s is absolutely worth a try. Just saying

                  • Got out the other day with one of my F4's on 8S, the F16 V1 on 8S and my newly upgraded F18 on 8S. Summer thick grass necessitated the F18 upgrade. Love it on 8S. Did a short video on the take off run of the F4 and F18. May never get a 6S 90mm again! The SMC 8S HiV 4900 & 5900 are perfect for these.

I spent two years on the USS Midway, 1979-1981, and we had two F-4 squadrons, VF151 and VF161. Although they were used and abused you did not see the panel lines. I will do my best to dig up some of my ole Navy pics.

Evan, proved the point with those pictures. After you left, I came aboard. Do you remember F-4's in the break while still in Tokyo Bay with fishing boats all around?

Didier did a nice job for sure though the panel line was just a tad bit too much. Now, am I being a little too critical? maybe just a tad. My son builds models for shows and trends towards the panel lines as such. The models I've done don't win awards.
