Working on a custom paint scheme on my 90 Raptor so I decided to go full out. Have added leading plastic wing edges, added wing marker lights along with green Nav lights. Have some more 3D printed parts coming, cockpit etc from Hamiltons Hanger ( check him out does all kinds of custom work ) but here’s a pic of one wing painted with the plastic wing edge so no more worries taxiing getting damage from a tip over

Thanks Evan, so you installed a gyro on only the rudder/steering channel? Just making sure I understand. I have several Futaba GY-401 HH gyros from my heli days that I could easily tie into the thrust reversal switch.

I've tried using the thrust reversal feature but the issue I'm having is that the jet yaws severely to one side, so much so that it will either scrape a wingtip, crash into a curb, run off the runway and get damaged by the tall/unfriendly grass, etc. I guess what I'm asking is, does anyone else experience this issue, and what am I doing wrong? Thanks for any advice, as I'm not flying it again until I can get this figured out.

I use a AR8360t but also run tailerons also converted to 8s and wow what a performance upgrade. 8 channel also allows for the nose gear gyro that is very nice helping stop wing tips on landing etc

Either one should be fine. I use ar631 when space is an issue. F22 90mm has plenty.

If signal is your concern, add a satellite Rx. Both will accept one, but the ar631 requires a special wire to connect it.

Also if signal is your concern, using SAFE as the failsafe system is definitely the way to go. Loss of signal EDF crash with failsafe set to ‘last command’ is typically a total loss (including lipo). If it comes down in SAFE, sometimes there is no damage at all. Ask me how I know….

I'm working with the Creality Ferret Pro and it works insane for me.
Did scan engine bays, fenders, skirts with great resolution and details.
Price wise it's a no brainer imo.

Super excited what I can achieve while scanning the 22.

    Hey there,
    great work here!

I've just ordered my F-22 90mm and can't wait to get it 😁
Will try to ramp up her scale level quite a lot in nearly every area 🤣
So let's see what we can achieve 😎

Kinda wanna take it to the next level so first thing I'll do will be 3D scanning some of the 22's areas to be able to reverse engineer surfaces etc.
Beside this there needs to be a way more scale'ish landing gear imo.

Regarding the tyres I've found out that originally she got:
    - nosewheel tyre 23.5 x 7.5-10
    - mainwheel tyres 37 x 11.5-18

    which gives us:
    - nosewheel 44 x 14 mm
    - mainwheel 70 x 22 mm

with the landing gear slightly shorter than it comes with the Freewing F-22. So for the nosewheel the 80mm F-22 seems to be the perfect fit and for the main gear I will doo a whole new setup.

    Ben
