    Maiden flight using Avian 130a ESC did not go too well, thrust kept fluctuating. Not sure if I can program it out. Hopefully that new ESC from Motion will arrive soon.

    Braucht man denn wirklich noch Bremsen, ich komme sehr gut mit dem Rückwärtsschub klar.... sehe nicht, warum ich noch schwere Bremsen einbauen sollte?

    Wenn du genau hinsiehst, braucht sein Jet elend lange bis er endlich abhebt, auf Asphalt braucht er grob geschätzt knapp halb so lange. Es ist und bleibt ein extrem grosser Unterschied bei Jets mit kleinen (Massstabgetreuen) Rädern, da der Wiederstand ein vielfaches höher ist als auf Asphalt. Ebenfalls ist das Risiko, die Nase bei der Landung zu brechen viel grösser auf Gras.

    The springs in the struts are weak. Both the mains and the nose strut. On pavement it's no problem but on bumpy grass it will allow plane to tilt and the nose to hit.

    My flights went well yesterday. The balance is very nose heavy and right now I'm 30mm behind the wing marks and feel it'll need to go back further. It does fly well, it is heavy and not agile. I have the 8S with 880g of battery and I think the 6S wouldn't be as fun. Flaperons and tailerons help. The airbrake does slow it down a bit and makes the plane pitch down a little.

    Ich bin auf deinen Erstflug gespannt, meine werde ich wohl im Oktober bekommen und dann vielleicht noch dieses Jahr oder sicher im Frühling einfliegen. Ich freue mich wie ein Kind darauf und auch auf deine Berichte und Feedback hier.

    Seems to take off fast in the videos that are going around.

    i refer to grass runways because we dont have pavement/cement runway. They put a big piece of hockey field artifisual grass on top of the normal grass. So there is no drag BUT as you can imagine its bumpy and about 70 to 100 meters long

    Eine A-10 oder eine Viper-Jet wäre da viel die bessere Wahl auf der Graspiste, die haben breite Fahrwerke, aber leider keine F-16, egal welche.

    I feel this way about all jets. The issue is there are many that don't have access to a paved runway.
