    Boy oh boy has this been a bad week.

    First I lose my Freewing 90mm F-18 on the maiden. Uncontrollable, got away from me and crashed in thick woods about a half a mile away. Tried to locate with my drone to no avail. I decided to get the bad taste out of my mouth so I went to fly my recently painted 90mm F-16 V2 (hauntingly in retrospect, a fantasy Blue Angels livery). The maiden was great, just needed to trim her out. So today was going to be trim the flight. Usual pre-flight checklist, everything normal, battery secure, CG good, control surfaces all good, power good.

    Took off on the recently mowed grass field, she started pulling to the right getting close to the edge of the runway but with enough left rudder she kicked back out and then rotated. Almost imediately I could tell it wanted to pitch up and roll to the right. I fought the sticks with all I could, jamming aileron stick full left but it ignored my inputs and nosed in.

    Two new 90mm jets in one week.

    At least I was able to retrieve it, broken front and all. Front LG is bent all to hell aft, will need major repairs from the cockpit forward, but from the cockpit back it's pretty much fine, just a little cosmetic damage on the H stabs. And like the F-18, I have NO idea what happened. After the Walk of Shame, I put it on the bench and plugged the battery in (thankfully the 8S battery was undamaged), and everything worked normally. All control surfaces, everything.

    You ever have those days you feel like quitting the hobby, or at least jets? That's how I've felt this week.

    .no questions regarding A10 but this one has no flaps.. so does it slow down enuf with speed brakes ..? Or r flaperons req..? If so is it difficult to program now I'm on spektrum . I can fly the f4 sure I can fly this... Love the aggressor scheme on this. Maybe A10 better option... But I'm sure it'll be 1 or the other
    I can recommand the battery tray mod done by Jon 2brths rc. Makes it take of really fast, no flaps needed i.m.o. also the airbrakes are oke but thrust reverse will help more i think. If you manage to bring it in i have enough to get it to stop in 80meters. Gear is really good, i have a bumpy carpeted runway on top of grass field and this handeld a lot of landings, some better then others 😅 can recommand the low bounce wheels.
    i think (i have the a10 aswell) you will eventuely like the f16 more, less battery and i.m.o. more kick out of flying it.

    The air brakes work okay. I do have flaperons on this and all my other F-16’s.

    I, for one, like the whole concept now.

    Whatever it is, make it a Blue Angel .

    The possibilities are endless.

    Best, LB

    ps: BTW, it looks awesome, nicely done.

    Well you also deserve my thanks for recommending that chrome paint. It turned out fantastic! The perfect final scale touch she needed!

    @Aros,

    WOW! At first I was thinking sacrilegious, but you've proven me a "Blues Hornet Bigot".

    Very nicely done, Sir.

    What does "almost empty" mean to you? It's very important to know that before answering!
