    That diagram in the manual where is says port 3 for throttle is a misprint. Don't pay attention to it. Those two cables you're holding are the 2 throttle leads. They should be "Y'd" together and put into the throttle port (channel 1) of your RX. The yellow single wires are the reverse throttle signal wires. If you use reverse, those should be "Y'd" together and plugged into an empty channel that can be controlled by a switch. To get yourself that extra needed port on the RX, plug the UBEC lead into one side of a "Y" on ANY other channel. Once you get the throttle working on both motors, THEN do the throttle calibration.

    One additional tip..,Since the nose wheel steering is handled by the gyro, make sure you are rolling straight before you apply power for take-off.

    -The factory default Gyro settings are fine.
    - She sips on the batteries. With 6000 mAh batteries, a 4:30 flight time is possible with 50% throttle cruise and some full power hot doggin’!

    Set her up per the manual, and have a blast!

    Thanks @GG for the detailed info and tips! Especially useful as I plan on maidening this weekend. I do remember my V1 very fondly. Can’t wait to fly her!

    Hello everyone, I have the V1 and just received my V2. With my V1 and using SMC 6700 Mah batteries, my CG is at 95mm. Is it my understanding, please forgive me if this was already asked, everyone is keeping it at the recommended 78mm? I do like my planes at neutral CG and my jets a little tail heavy and don’t want to maiden the V2 with a way to nose heavy CG. Thanks for your responses in advance ! CF

    After about 30 flights with the A-10 V2 and becoming more familiar, some general observations.,.
    - You are in complete command of the 5 ft to 400 ft AGL altitude. Definitely this bird has the thrust to give you that “The Sky is Mine” feeling. WOW!
    - One video poster made a comment about this being the most locked in and easy-to-fly plane in his stable of EDF jets. I totally AGREE! Not for the novice pilot, but experienced EDF pilots are gonna be impressed.

    I couldn't take it any longer. I had to have this beautiful model back in my hangar. I won't make the same mistake I did with my V1 and sell it because I was being pithy about needing 2 6S batteries. This bird is worth it!

    My fiance had what could potentially be a solution to those who want their slime lights green instead of blue. She said, "why not use a yellow highlighter?" Dang! That just might work!

    I went and did the 12 blade upgrade with the inrunners,i had to wrap the power leads back under the esc to make it sit proper with the cap pack sitting in the pocket under edf fan(is this proper for this A-10),hopefully ill maiden in the next few days,looking for a blue sky day with lite winds.so far im impressed with the super scale A-10, throwing callie graphics on today

    I’m very pleased with V2…especially the flight time. 4:30 is easy even with some hot doggin’, and still land with 3.8V per cell (6000 mAh). One could go 5 min with good throttle mgmt.

    Update to post 106…

    The thin plastic rear nose gear door takes a beating when on grass. I’m happy to report that the door was held in place by the added carbon strips. Unhappily, the door cracked nearly in two with more grass ops!

    I’m going to study this rear door and come up with a beef-up solution. The problem may be partially solved by using a spring connection to the nose gear shaft, and part of the solution may be to reduce the fore-aft play amount of the nose gear shaft that can develop after less than perfect landings or from stress from bumps in the grass.

    Stand by for further updates.

    About 20 flights flown to date and loving this bird. Just gotta get the rear nose gear door issues fixed.

    The simple solution…remove the rear nose gear door, but I like to tinker too much to take the easy way out.

    Update: After studying the rear nose gear door, gluing strips of carbon sheeting to the inside of the door will be what I try. Using Foam-Tac for a bit of flexibility. Basically, the door is a carbon sheet, now.

    Will find out if this can withstand grass ops stresses with some more flights.

    2nd Update: The bottom of the rear nose gear door is impacting the tire!!! I adjusted the linkage so it sits farther back. Fixed the problem! The door probably isn’t closing all the way, but not gonna care.

    Did my first grass ops today and discovered the hinge pins on the nose gear rear door are not long enough to stay in the hinge holes. The rougher grass field stressed the rear gear door enough to make the rear gear door pop off the hinge. Did a little head scratching and came up with a solution. Glue a piece of carbon sheet over each side of the hinge.

    Honestly, even ops on pavement will probably pop the pins out of their holes at some point. Pins are too short.

    Place the carbon sheeting as close to the door as possible. Then paint the carbon to match.

    Studying the “pins”, it will also be easy to Dremel a trench and put a metal wire hinge in. I’ll do that when the pins break.
