T'was the Night before Jetmas and all through the house
    Not an airplane was stirring.........
The tools were assembled all ready to go
    For tomorrow is shipping day
At least we all hope it is also.
So come little brown truck so lively and quick.
    Bring the Avanti
Hope it don't fly like a brick!!

I so wish I was born under a money tree so I could have the real thing instead of the little foam version. I guess this is what the hobby is doing for me - it's a great substitute for what I missed in life.
I've been resisting the temptation to pull the pin on this Avanti due to my "money" tree turning into a money pit, but as some of these people start getting theirs in the next few days, I may succumb. But then there's that darn 80mm A-10. And that Spitty.

Hahaha... tell me about it. I promised myself no new models this year, that lasted until feb when I saw the avanti, a10 and the spitty... damn you motion, flightline and freewing lol. :)

im with you mate, I'd love to be able to afford the real thing, but I'm on a rc budget, not a us military one.

Build is as straight forward as Motion's vid .. Quality is excellent except for a couple of minor blemishes..Looks like a Red scheme may appear in future??

Nah, that's a nice moderate draw... Maybe 3:20-3:30 on 5000.

I plan on pulling about 110 on 8s.

Keeping it light will help conserve mAh during part throttle flight. I'm sure I'll still get a hot 3 mins on 5000s.

What batteries do you plan to use might I ask? I just got 2 new Roaring Top 5000 70c 6s but I haven't had a chance to test them yet, hope their up to the task.

Oh yeah, those are solid packs... They'll DEFINITELY be up to the task. I've ran those before and currently run the new chem Admiral 50c packs. They're great, and lightweight as well. :)

                                        Great! Thanks for the input.

I noticed that the Roaring Top 70c 5000 packs have 10 gauge discharge wire and my Turnigy 40c 5000 have larger 8 gauge discharge wire. Interesting why they would use smaller wire.
