Finished painting. Turned out pretty good. Of course I had to go fly her and muck her up a bit. There's some Universal Law out there that prohibits me having a pristine model for more than 24 hours.

I put my Mobius cam on the left wing tip thinking I would just need a few clicks of right trim to counter. Boy was I wrong. First off I was fighting a crosswind of 10+. Took off and right at rotation she nearly knife-edged on me. Even on low rates she was rockin' like a drunk at closing hour. I trimmed her out of her stupor but she was very unstable feeling. To make matters worse I came in to land and it was the most craptastic landing I've had in years. Thought the gear was going to snap in half. Nose cone went flying, broke the pitot tube and scrapped the ventrals fairly good.

    Sigh.

Even worse, the rough landing screwed up my Mobius and I can't import my video so you can bare witness to my craptasticness.

Well at least she looks good. :Loser:

Thanks, yeah just waiting on Callie's decals to finish her off. Went back to the school and flew sans cam. MUCH better. I had to get that last flight's bad taste out of my mouth. LOL

I like it too. It's got to be way better for orientation. Besides, it just looks cool !

gooniac, If I remember right, you are running lighter batteries aren't you? like 3600s or something. I'm curious where you are running your CG as well seems dialed in nicely.
I use 6s 30c 4000 China Hobby Line packs. I will eventually get some roaring tops because those are so much lighter! The 6s 35c 5800's are actually lighter than the 40c 5000 China Hobby Lines that I have. I can only imagine what how light they will be! the plane will be even better!

Yeah this plane LOVES light packs... Too heavy and it really dulls it IMHO.

Thanks! I used Krylon flat white, flat black and a gray primer base. I am going to hit it with polyurethane after I put the decals on.

Hopefully I get to meet you in person. I'm hoping to go next weekend. I haven't flown in a couple weeks and getting the itch. LOL

It it would be great to see more NorCal folks there too, and Aros from an even further distance.
