I pretty much copied the idea from CW and how he did his: 1) use a soldering iron to cut out the hole and extract the OEM pilot, 2) glued the CW pilot onto a small piece of basswood painted gray to match the existing floor in the cockpit, 3) glued the pilot and basswood floor onto the cockpit from underneath using RC Canopy glue (in case I have remove it someday). I think it looks much better than the OEM pilot.
We're having some stormy weather the next couple of dasy, so it might be later in the week until I can fly the new updated model. I'm still working on Chris' method of using braided string to pull the main gear doors open and closed when tied onto the struts. I have tried three times, and I still can't get it to work right. I might give it another go, or I'm also looking at some servos, or a servo to get this door sequencing coorect.
I'll attach a couple of pics I just took in the shop.
Cheers
