Welcome to the Squawk Mikdys! Great pictures and what historical place to fly from, that's what I always enjoyed when I was stationed at Mildenhall Raf with the Air Force KC-135s all that history from WW II in the UK.

Thanks for your greeting - when we moved to East Anglia we rented a house not far from Mildenhall and an American family, newly based in the area, rented it after us when we moved further east (I showed them around the property when they were considering it). It's a small world really!
Cheers for now :)

Hi guys ,i'm back in business after the motor problem I found just as I was about to maiden my B24 . Motion rc were great and sent me a replacement with no quibble . shame that Fedx messed up on the delivery but it got to me in the end. replacement was no great problem and after waiting for suitable weather I got to maiden my baby 3 days ago . It was stunning , took off on just about half throttle and climbed out calm and steady , only needed slight left and down trims and it was rock solid .Just love the landing on full flap , just close throttle gently and flare as the ground arrives or throttle up a tad if I look to be coming up short . so far have had 3 flights with 2 take offs and landings on the 3rd flight , was very proud of all 4 landings as the plane made me look really good and really fills you with confidence . Since pride comes before a fall I had better shut up now and just get on with more flights when time and weather permit . I can't praise Motion Rc enough for their service and products must be the best model firm I have dealt with and will recommend to all .
cheers for now ..

New to hobby squawk but we absolutely love our B-24 I actually can’t believe this was brought out in foam. The B-24 is one of the finest models ever available from motionrc and flys as good as she looks. It’s a show stopper every time I take it out and I absolutely love honoring my grandfathers memory every time she flys

I finished the preliminary assembly of the silver Liberator, my faithful assistant Freya was also pictured taking her hour long mandated nap.
The Lib had the yellow rudders so I primed them with white and black latex before a coat of Krylon rattle can aluminum and blue.
I taped on some of the the nose and canopy for the maiden as she will be getting an overall paint job and detailing this winter.
Got a picture of the plane after the maiden, sorry it's dark as it was dusk and the sun had ducked behind the trees and light was going pretty quick.
I CGed her with two 3S 5000s but found her to be a bit tail heavy so I put in some 4S 3300 which moved the CG forward a bit, but she was still a skoch, a scientific term(?), tail heavy. I flew her with the 4S 3300s and found she was pretty fast and leapt off the runway after a very short run. She was very tame on the flight, 3 minutes, and it was without incident and landed finding the batteries were down with 78% still remaining.
Second flight with fresh batteries was also uneventful with 6 minutes dialed into the timer and landed with mixed throttle at 67% remaining in each battery.
She settles in really well on final to touchdown, I really like this plane. With the 4S she took off in shorter distance than my F-86, and I'm pretty sure she will outrun her escorts...
I did have an issue with the left flap after landing it would not go up; but after unplugging and re-plugging the batteries it will go back up????
I did upgrade the struts but the props are stock. I'll put a little nose weight in and try to fly her next week with the 3S batteries.
Again very pleased with this girl and a welcome addition to the hangar.

Had the same problem with my flaps on both the Olive and Silver. Sometimes the left, sometimes the right. xviper suggested to me that sometimes these flap servos do not like the delay, so I took out the delay some 30 flights ago and never a problem again. There's some much outstanding knowledge with all these "squawkers" that you just have to sit back and follow their advice for trouble free flying.
Love this plane as well, over the winter when you work on the repaint, you may want to also add the sound system with the multi-engine card-adds a real nice touch.

Thank you Hugh I appreciate the info concerning the delay issue with the flaps. I was also thinking of the sound system too with the size of her fuse. Great minds think alike!!!
I also did a video of the engine sounds (which is not great quality-actually sounds better) before I finished out the cockpits/gunners and final painting which you can access on you-tube under: https://youtu.be/PhoFY59hrE43 PhotosHugh "Wildman" Wiedman

I have searched to see if this is a known problem and I have not found anything.
Assembling a Silver B24. Everything going great except getting the ESCs programmed. I had all kinds of bizarre beeps and non-beeps and won't arm and run and so forth and so on, until I hit on the following:
If I unplug one multi-wire connector from one wing, and put a battery in only one of the main battery connectors (thus dealing with only one ESC at a time), that esc works perfectly. I can set the throttle range, I can go through full programming menu, etc, etc. It makes all the correct tones, per the Flycolor ESC manual, as you go through the menu, etc. When plugged in throttle low, it beeps correct number of cells, arms, and responds to throttle as you'd expect. In other words, it works just as you'd expect. Perfectly.
However, after verifying correct operation of each of the 4 escs in "separate" mode like the above... if I plug in the other wing's multi wire connector, then I am back to things like low throttle = no beeps at all, high throttle (as though you were setting range or programming) = different beeps from the controller in each wing, not at all like the menu beeps, often get repetitive beeps that just keep going about once or twice a second and never change, etc, etc. Almost random beep patterns. And, they generally will not arm or run.
Oh, all the other servos in the wings, flaps and ailerons, seem to work at all times, So do the ele/rudder/nose-steering. In short, all servos work all the time (that they are plugged in).
I've tried two different receivers, a Lemon 7 and a older DSM2 Genuine Spektrum 9 channel. Same symptoms with both receivers. I've tried the provided BEC and I've tried a stand-alone, regulate, 5V battery power supply. No change.
Summary: one wing's multi-wire connector plugged in, everything in that wing works. Both wings plugged in, servos are fine, but all the ESCs in both wings do not work correctly and behave very erratically.
Is this a known problem? Is it possible I have a defective Freewing controller (splitter) board? Is there any way to reset the Freewing board?

The key in the video is to power everything up with the Throttle Channel unplugged from the RX. Then, do whatever it is you wish to do, such as put throttle stick high (for calibration and/or menu), etc, etc. Only then plug in the Throttle Channel cable.
Or, watch the vid.
Mikdys, thank you again!
