Put some wheel chocks under them and you can't tell if they're real or not!Originally posted by Alpha.MotionRC View PostBob Duncan
The only real helicopter is the CH-47 Chinook. The rest are just sling loads!

Yeah, just move them away from the giveaway grass and paint some 1/10 scale runway markings, maybe some red remove before flying flags and an ammo/ordinance loading cart. O.K. maybe the ammo cart was over the top.:Cool:Must be a residual from my childhood plastic modeling days setting up a scene. Brad

Boy no kidding. These are the Golden Years fellow pilots. Soak it in! I know I sure am. Amazing how far RC electrics have come in the last 10 years. Wow.Originally posted by BadBob View PostPut some wheel chocks under them and you can't tell if they're real or not!

I bought my 'Pacific SIlver' P38 last summer and just last week got it out to assemble…(actually was taking pilot training ) and was delayed in getting her ready to fly. The only 'squawks' I noted was a parts/ screw count shortage for some VERY important components; re: no main wing screws and only 10 instead of 12 prop blade mount screws. No way in hades to fly her without those. Too late to ask Motion for some help…so…I went to just order a screw kit…and ended up spending over $600.00 on screws batts. & and "A BRAND NEW PLANE!" LOL…The "Captain and Pilot Ryan" are the best salesmen in the entire "Wide, Wide WORLD of SPORTS"!…expertly demonstrating "the thrill of victory"…but never "the agony of defeat". …challenge to all my fellow gray-hairs out there…who can ID the show from my quotes….I used to park my bicycle and come in the house every Saturday afternoon to watch that show…and it took a heck of a show to get me home early on a Saturday afternoon. I am really impressed with the look and modernization of this forum and Motion RC overall! Keep up the great work gents! KUDOs to all you super detail RC guys…your planes look like the real thing! I am too prone to ding one one up to put so much work into one other than a dabb of paint or a cool decal, etc. You guys ROCK…and are dang-brave too!….shocktrooper OUT!

Okay, I have a request that I think would work for a lot of Motion's airplanes. I would like to see a roll of colored tape, the same tape that is used on the bottom of the wing to cover all the various wiring channels, available as a spare part. A roll of the tape the same color as the bottom of the wing would be great for covering up servos and wiring channels that didn't get covered by the factory. Having the exact, matching colored tape would be easier than me running around town trying to find tape that matches the bottom wing color.
Please?

It's a good idea, however volumes of sales would have to be extremely high to make this profitable and worthwhile, especially when so many companies specialise in this area already (3M etc). Personally, I can't see this being profitable for a RC distributor, when your local hardware store etc have tons of different tapes - at a cheaper price point. When I've done this, I've bought a good tape with good adhesion, and then simply painted it to match. The amount of stock of tape that motion would have to carry to match all the different planes - simply couldn't produce a profit or be priced competitively. Just my opinion. ;)Originally posted by zorkahn View PostOkay, I have a request that I think would work for a lot of Motion's airplanes. I never knew the guys name that wiped out on the ski jump…thanks beeg! I hope he could be repaired and put back into the-game….? It looks like it should have killed him! I've had a dirt bike crash or 3 but never anything like that! At least we can 'walk-away' when we "ball-up" one of our RC planes…but it still hurts my feelings every time! like when I totaled my brand new SU34 on the maiden flight last year! sniff….Originally posted by Beeg View PostOh come on! That's too easy listening to Curt Gowdy and watching Vinko Bogataj crash on the ski jump at the start of every episode.

Pat, the blenderm I have is textured. Is yours the same?Originally posted by crxmanpat View PostI do the same thing, but with 3M Blenderm. I dare you to try and get that stuff to peel off once it goes on. In fact, last night I was stripping the crashed F-5, and had Blenderm on the wire channels. I literally had to pull it off with pliers! :)
