  • My weathering technique is to use a "craftsmart" Metallic Paint Pen silver.....make a dot and pull it back with my finger or que tip.....can tone it down with some grey chalk....no real way to mess it up. I think the trick is deciding when to stop....apply a couple dots and drag them back - walk away and figure out if you want to keep going. The perfect cowling does not look right with the rest of the skin replicating some sort of distress

Thanks, sounds simple and will give it a go on my cowl.

      • Hi All,

Has anyone removed the factory covering and refinished this model?

        Thanks Steve

                • Can someone measure the distance from prop
shaft to ground with the fuselage level (not sitting on the tail wheel)?
Trying to determine maximum size prop that could be installed (greater than the 22” listed) and still not worry about prop strike
                  Thank you

                  • Hi all, I got a fair deal on a UMS 100-5 radial and plan to put it on a Black Horse Corsair. I saw a picture somewhere on FB or RCGroups of this combination and it seems awesome to me. What do you guys reckon, would these two go nice together? I had a Phoenix 20cc Corsair (1,8m) paired with a Saito FG33R3 and this flew beautiful once in the air, but to get it in the air proved hairy at times (grass field and not to much power). Hope to have a more potent combination now...

                        • For anyone with the electric motor setup on this plane…
How much lead weight was needed to hit the CG ?
                          Thanks

                          • Couldn't help myself. Ordered the BH Corsair. Will post some pictures of the fitment of the UMS 5-100. First I have to wait for the delivery truck...

                            • Corsair came in today. What a nice kit, really impressed. Landinggear is different than I saw in the forums. Hopefully finally stable and working. Included some pictures for those that might be interested.

And the UMS 5-100 seems to fit!!

Now printing some wing inlets to replace the ugly vacuumformed thingies...

                                • Some progress on the tailwheel and doors. Testprinted some wheels and Quick & dirty painted the wing inlets...

Tailwheel with new hinge point for the door rods.

Wheel testprint. Rubber is still somewhat to hard, gonna reprint. Material of the tire is TPU Varioshore, rim is from plain PLA.
