I’ve had my first flights with my new Freewing F-14 Tomcat—featuring twin 80mm EDFs and Freewing’s latest power system (from the A-10)—and the thing performs incredibly well. The flight characteristics are far superior to the smaller twin-64mm F-14; there’s simply no comparison! I managed to get the ASX3+ gyro dialed in perfectly, so it flies as if on rails, even in strong, gusty winds. It feels almost like flying a full-scale aircraft.
