  • Hi
I just finished putting together my T-33
I purchased a 6000 mah. (as was recommended by motion Rc)
It doesn't want to go forward enough to CG.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    • Yak54 Welcomt to Hobby Squawk. Glad to have you onboard, Sir.

As you stated, the 6000Mah was recommended by Motion RC.

My first inclination would be to contact Customer Service and ask if they realize their recommendation is incorrect and ask what battery does fit.

I would also check if there is anything preventing the battery from going forward into the nose that you might not have seen.

      • Double check you are using the correct reference point for the CG. A 6000 should not have to be all the way forward.

          Hi

It's all about weight of LIPO.
I removed weight in nose T33, my heaviest LIPO is a Rhino 6S500 900gram

Freewing 80mm T-33 Shooting Star Both models for banner.jpg Motion RC is excited to announce the new Freewing T-33 Shooting Star in 1/9.5 scale. Honoring the popular T-33 that flew with over 40 countries between 1948 and 2017, the Freewing T-33 faithfully represents this amazing aircraft! Constructed from EPO foam,

Also CG point on fuselage mine is 15mm rewards because I'm flying from a grass field.

Cut the nose and remove the 4 metal cylinders (totally almost 90 grams). Then glue the nose again

            • If the person can’t get the battery forward enough to balance removing the weights from the nose will make it worse. I still think there is an issue we’re the person is not balancing it at the correct spot.

              • Hey all,

Just ordered the Shooting Star from MRC.

                Figured it was time.

                She's a beauty, IMHO.

Thinking all metallic finish like this airshow shot or something 'fantasy' with lots of color like this F-84.

                We'll see.

                • Hey y'all,

Got my Rootin' Tootin' Scootin' Shootin' Star delivered today.

Yay me! and a big ol' jumpin' Ya-Hoo.

This will be my polished aluminum look experiment, though it's in the queue and not on deck.

I just love the look of the airframe,

I suppose b/c I was just getting into modeling plastic airplanes when this ship was still flying.

                  Thanks, Motion R/C.

Woohoo, glad you got yours and I also ordered one too so it should be here next week, its one I haven't flown yet just like the Cougar which was also one I haven't flown until last week, kind of liking these 80mm jets, I also ordered the new A-10 V-2.
This month was expensive for me...............oh yeah, I also got the new 90mm F-16 coming

                    • For those that are working on this model I have enclosed a few pictures of a gate guard at the American Legion at Covington, In. This plane has been here since the 60s and is in bad shape. I hope some of the details will help some of you that are adding scale features.
                      Best Regards, Rex

                          • I need the 90deg servo arm for the nose steering servo but don’t see it in the spare parts. There is no markings on the servo but it has a 15” lead, only saw one servo like that but did not see the arm. Anyone know how I can find it?
