  • Has anyone seen this quick connect for the wings mentioned on motionRC page?

    Features:
    • Removable wings with quick disconnect wiring plug
Neither of mine had quick wiring disconnects.

Also has anyone else had issues with the Ailerons breaking off with less then 10 flights?

Nozzles for the Freewing 70mm Vulcan sport jet.Set printing parameters as needed for weight distribution.Nozzles designated "b" are 1mm larger in diameter to better fit some fuselages.

(I don't have a Vulcan of my own so I made these according to dimensions people sent me).
At long last I got access to a Vulcan and measured the outlet for myself. The one I measured was 1mm larger in both OD and ID than the values that I had been sent and which I used when designing the various nozzles.

I have started modifying the files on Thingiverse, and the larger nozzles have a "b" suffix in the filename. As I get time I will get "b" versions for all the nozzles.

        • I've flown my Vulcan a few times now and there were no surprises. It flew well, never a problem and it even takes off well from grass. At 3500 feet altitude, this jet is not as fast as I had hoped it would be but since it so trouble free and flies well enough, I'm happy with it. Not needing to be disassembled, it can be easily thrown in the car and doesn't take up a lot of storage space. From my previous post, I did get the Stinger 90 and have flown it a few times as well. By far, it is still one of my most satisfying jets I have. It's up there amongst my top few faves.

                  • I just replaced the stock 6S unit with the FMS PRO unit. A modest speed increase, a noticeable climb improvement, and it sounds better.

Some very minor foam sculpting was needed to fit it, and I had to move the ESC back a bit

                    • I'm needing some help. I maidened my 4s Vulcan today and it flew great but my landings are terrible. I touch down and it starts pogo sticking. What am I doing wrong? I have no problems landing my prop planes.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "pogo sticking":

If you mean bouncing, probably due to touching nosewheel first, or coming in too fast.

                        • It's just being smooth, the 4S doesn't have suspension, just the wire struts.

                          • I have upgraded the struts that has suspension. Didn't like the wire struts.

'Pogo Sticking' is the result of not raising your nose ( the airplane's not yours ) so the nose wheel touches down first. bounce bounce bounce, believe me I know, I was the King of the Pogo landing. Raise the nose and 'commit to the back stick' as Ryan Ramsay told me. Nowadays, I land my Avanti with no problem, she settles on her mains first and lands like a lady.

Easy to fly and land, but be prepared for the speed.

                                  • I just scored me one of these at a bring and buy, for very good money, especially considering it came with 2 batteries.

Any way for my first few flights I will be using the onboard "gyro". Now this has come loose and needs to be fixed back in. Which way should it go? I think the single wires should be pointing forward. Is this correct.

                                    Many thanks.

                                    • This doesn't come stock with a gyro so you'll have to select a position and then verify the surfaces move correct. If not reposition and check again.

So the little blue box is just a distribution system.

                                        OK no gyro then.

                                        • Yes the blue box is just a way for them to Y the ailerons, elevators, steering and retracts together, no gyro.
