I've landed Corsairs over the years plenty via 3-point. In fact, if I had to guess I would say 75% have been 3-point landings versus 25% 2-point. And that would be thousands of landings with various models and sizes. Doesn't really seem to depend on the model or size for the most part although the larger scale do seem to take the 3-pointers better. Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of bouncers and yes I too broke my retracts on more than one model including this one. The key with 3-pointers is being close to the ground and at stall speed or close to it. Grass helps as well. I do enjoy the 2-pointers for the scale appeal, especially with a nice smooth roll out.

Just brainstorming. After watching rc informer..... The new FM's 1700 Corsair. 8s transplant..... Would it work on the fline Corsair?? Weights up front to remove, replace speed controller. I think it's 340 kv motor maybe to much. I'm not advanced to a point checking amps draw etc. It goes hard enough. But can never go.to fast. Thank in advance

So, I ask you, what else could I do when the website said "hurry only 2 left" but run to da bank & take out a loan!
It's under the Christmas tree and only 30 days to wait. Have 4 batry's and Callie graphics. Have read all 200 pages of Squawk and now not sure if I'm ready or :scar't: and the dang 30 day warranty will run out before get to open the box 😐
😁 Happy Thanksgiving all U turkeys 😂

What scheme are you doing since you mentioned order graphics from Callie? Callie is making me a set of F2G # 57 race plane graphics for my corsair. I'll be painting it up over this winter at some point in time.

So, elevator trim can depend a lot on your CG and also how far down you put the flaps. Using the flaps will make the plane "balloon" a bit. So a little down-elevator trim is helpful. I have mine set so that the flaps go WAY down, like 70-75 degrees, and my radio's flap mix is set for 14% down elevator trim. (Its not much, its only about 1/8 of an inch) I had to experiment a lot to get to this point, I found that without some down trim, the plane will tend to bounce when it touches down. With a little down trim, it will stick to the runway and I find it much easier. Now, if you have your flaps set so that they come down only 45-50 degrees, you may need MORE down trim because the flaps will generate more lift. With the flaps all the way down they're mainly functioning as air brakes. Hope this helps!Marc flies FW & FL: AL37, MiG-29, T45,F4, A4, A10, F104 70 and 90, P38, Dauntless SBD, Corsair, B17, B24, B26 & P61, Lipp.P19, ME262, Komets, Vampire, SeaVixen, FMS Tigercat, FOX Glider & Radian XL.
