All the work has been worth it. One bank in particular has become a favourite place to photograph my models. You can get nice and low. You do look a bit of a dill head lying on the ground though.

Great shot and and I find you do look a bit dumb when getting down to get the shot but even funnier when you attempt to get back up again🤣

Picked up one of the newer Heng long Tiger 1's. Loved the look, but the camo needed help, so I took to the air brush and set to task. Here's what happened. Also, I had made an aerial recognition flag twelve years ago for my first HL. Click image for larger version

Nice paint work. Definitely looks better than stock. The Tiger I is a great tank, so many issues to fix and loads of aftermarket support.

Thank you for the comment. Could you tell me the issues to fix so I can make this even better? Cheers.

Spare antenna tube, on the left looking from the rear.
Second convoy light on right looking from the rear.
                    Headlights are crap.
                    Turret in wrong place.
                    Turret not centred.
                    Missing rear tow pinitle.
                    Missing transmission reinforcement.
                    Plastic wheels are solid.
                    Tow shackles will get lost.
                    Rear jack mount is missing.
Side mudguards can be split to individual pieces.
                    Ventilation for hull.
                    Antenna is incorrect place.
Fire extinguisher is in the wrong place.
Barrel is modelled in the recoil position.
Missing lifting point in turret bin.
                    Turret hatch is wrong.
                    Pivot point for gun.
                    Driver hatch is closed.

You might want to think about not using the flag.

Most of these points I can do nothing about. The antenna is where the receiver is, Can't do much about the Turret, They installed the Turret hatch assy backwards, I can open the Drivers hatch, It's where the On off switch is. A far improvement from the early model from years back. The Flag is removable, and hardly displayed. However, Where can I find some
after market pieces to add to this?

And the list Meter Rat posted isn't even Everything. I try to concentrate on the eye sores, obvious stuff and things I want to change that will make me happy.

All of the points that Meter Rat listed you can fix or modify it just depends on your ability and motivation as well as you accept that you will need to repaint and refinish your tank. Some stuff can be done without repainting. Its up to you to decide what you do and don't want to do.

The commanders copula pops off pretty easily enough then just turn it the way it should be and reglue it.

Here's my most recent Heng Long Tiger I next to my Taigen Tiger before taking it apart to work on and change/fix issues-

Here is the same Tiger I after taking it apart to fix and rebuild

It's a slippery slope with the Tiger I then all of a sudden you've gone down the rabbit hole head first.

Thanks Chef. I did that with the commanders hatch, it just popped off and I spun it to the correct way. I also removed the MG and the Flag. I guess the MG was for the later hatch design, unless an individual wanted to add it in Theatre. The paint I re did. I still used the base Green, but added more of the dark tan/khaki colour and airbrushed that on. I figure the more weathering I do the better it will look. Plus, most Camo schemes were field added and what ever pattern the crew wanted, or what paint they could get their hands on. As far as the antenna goes, I thought it was part of the receiver. Turns out it's not attached to anything, It's just plugged in there, If there's a way to remove it without doing too much damage, please let me know. As for the Fire extinguisher, I don't see it. I may need to find one and add it. I'm really appreciating the input here. All said and done, It already looks 100% better than it did out of the box.

I just pulled the metal antenna plug out from the bottom of the top hull with vise grips.

Oh, ok, If it serves no purpose, I'll give it a go and re position it.

As I may have mentioned it before; MM Canada had a sale going on.
So I kept ordering including spare parts.

When I came home last time, that is what was waiting for me to be unpacked and organized. :D

My next paint testjob on a new PzIV.
All done by the use of a sponge instead of a brush, except the wheels.

So I kept ordering including spare parts.

When I came home last time, that is what was waiting for me to be unpacked and organized. :D

A far improvement from the early model from years back. The Flag is removable, and hardly displayed. However, Where can I find some

A lot of the points given can be built, or added without doing too much damage your fine paint job, so they would just need to be touched in with a paint brush.

Thanks man. I've already started. Antenna is moved, the commanders turret is in correct position, AA MG is re attached, but removable like the real one. Found a fire extinguisher and various other spare parts I can get. Once I get the Decals and apply them, I'll take more pictures.
