Sorry for answering this late but this totally opposite on how real planes are flown (at least jets): Elevator for profile, thrust for speed... The trajectory is usually trimmed, not airspeed. So, I am a bit confused now.

Just read all the other statements. So basically, RC jets tend to be flown like small General Aviation aircraft with pitch for speed, power for trajectory. Nevertheless, this is not like bigger jets are flown where it is opposite (thrust for speed, pitch for trajectory).
