You are correct FedEx doesn't operate any 737s but there are at least 10 that are painted in the FedEx livery and are contracted to FedEx from other lines.Originally posted by Jetman64 View Post
FEDEX doesn’t use the B737, the closest they came was the B727.
All of them are based across the pond.
9 are 737-400F operated by ALS Airlines Belgium
1 is a 737-800F operated by West Atlantic UK
Here is the address for the info: https://www.planespotters.net/airline/Federal-Express

P.S. My wife is still flying for FedEx.

Oh, I'm not doing one. It was "Gravythe clown" who did and I think all the power to him no matter whether a "real" one existed or not. That shouldn't be the determining factor for someone choosing a theme (I've never sided with "scale" police). If I had the nerve (mostly painting skills), I'd paint the whole thing YELLOW and do a Hughes Airwest "flying banana" and we know the Max didn't exist then.Originally posted by Jetman64 View Post
I’m not trying to be an &(?!&, if you say there is a FEDEX 37 in that link. I don’t care either way also, you AL37 is going to look AWESOME!!!!

Yeah I am all for fantasy liveries. It's fun of course to do a scale livery, but I've never had a problem painting a plane up in a fantasy scheme. Whatever turns your prop!

The flying banana, I remember that and I hope that doesn’t show my age. I’m all for “ whatever makes you happy” theme. I like doing scale work, but since I just started airbrush painting, I’m also doing some crazy stuff. I’m currently working (painting) my FL F7F and it’s as far from scale as it gets. I can’t wait to see all the different themes people are going to do, that’s what makes this hobby so much fun.

Jetman, we flew with two 6s 6000mAhs, so unless your FPV gear weighs more than ~1,200 grams or so, you'll be fine. As always, lighter is better. Maiden the bird as we recommend, with a single 6s 5000, then gradually add weight from there. For my style of flying I really do prefer the single 6s 5000. The 5100 or 6000 is fine, too. But 5000 is the best for maiden, if anything because we have several pilots who've flown it this way on video. If Jeremy's 8 year old son can maiden it according to the manual, the rest of us oldie-but-somewhat-goodies should be able to, ha! He and Enoch are going to lap all of us soon, it seems!Originally posted by Jetman64 View PostAlpha,

LOL! Let’s hope not to soon. Thank you for the information, the gear I have in mind is around 1.4kg, so it should be ok. I’m not looking for flight time, I’m setting one up for FPV/Forcefly. Don’t know if you know what Forcefly is, but it allows you to fly with a joystick with goggles. Should be lots of fun...Originally posted by Alpha View Post

Hello,Originally posted by GregC540i View PostI'm not sure if anyone on mentioned, but what grey color are you guys using to paint the main wings since they seem to come white as well? I'm getting ready to color match some paint at home depot. Can't wait to get mine hopefully this week!
Thanks in advance!
GregC
Not all 37 wing tops are grey/metal color. Check with the Airlines, United paints theirs white or off white. The leading edges are grey/metal, like the slats, but the center can be painted.

Talk about a "blast from the past." I remember the Hughes Airwest commercials, and those bright yellow planes. Not only would that be a fun paint scheme to do for a model, it'd have the distinct advantage of excellent visibility in the sky!Originally posted by Jetman64 View Post
