The 'it's on its way to your house' email has made my day!!!
Hey, I'm working on something kinda related, kinda cool. I have an Axial 1/10 scale rock crawler Honcho. I've ordered some emergency vehicle LEDs and am going to make a few placards and probably repaint the truck body USAF dark blue, to turn my rock crawler into a 1/10 scale Follow Me vehicle. I figure that it'll be funny as hell to send it out to meet 1/10 scale-ish warbirds and jets after they've landed, and escort them back to the pits. :-)
I spoke about this with Freewing today. This was a conscious omission, but since it seems some of you want the underwing decals, Freewing will be air-freighting a batch of underwing insignia, to be sent out to anyone who wants a baggie. Because the pre-orders are shipping to customers today (WOOHOO!), there will be about a 7-12 day lag before those baggies arrive. We'll post here once they're available, and I'll brief the CS team to reach out and to process requests for it.
The German Camo has two iron crosses, and the USAF Silver has a national insignia and "USAF".
In the meantime, enjoy your T-33s!
This is the reason I love Motion RC. Think anyone else would have done that? Nope, me either.
Waiting for it to arrive. Question for Y'ALL. CG inverted or or right side up.Reason for asking is that the CG marks are on the bottom of the wing.
They are also on the bottom of the wing on the AL-37. Both are low wing planes and I hold them upside down to balance. I'll just take the measurement from the manual and put a mark on the top of the wing. It really shouldn't matter but holding a low wing plane right side up makes it teeter more. It's less sensitive to teeter when held upside down - thus easier to find the balance.
Tony, only pics I can find on the web of the underside of the T-33 show just the iron cross on each wing, no lettering. No doubt someone out there has proof, or otherwise, of this. Cannot tell if underside is white, grey, blue or silver from the pics.
Motion version shows no insignia on bottom and underside looks light blue.
I wonder if the top side are correct, it looks like those were taken from an aircraft exposed to the sun for a looong time. Correct colors would be RAL 6014 and RAL 7012. There are more decals missing than just the two crosses
Some Corel Draw work today...
BTW, those contain the correct serial number of 94+55
Hey MRC, will the new power system in the T-33 be available to purchase as a drop in for my L-39?
Yes, they are on this container but first they have to ship all the T-33's and Airliners that arrived then they will unload and get a webpage up for it ASAP. Give it a few days tops.

Here's an interesting T-bird story to read while you wait for your plane to arrive. Scroll down about 3/4 of the page and read the story "Bear Bomber." It's about the T-33 intercept of a Russian Bear bomber during the height of the Cold War. Very entertaining.
Hi Dave, good luck flying your new T-33, I noticed FedEx is coming by on Saturday with a new one for me on Saturday also...i'm in the SW Arizona desert and have been flying everyday, so i'm hoping for some continued good weather for some first trim flights...
