Sorry about my mistake. Hopefully FL will introduce a new warbird that many will want to purchase. Meanwhile I will slowly work on my Phantom. Going to learn new painting techniques so I can make my Phantom exhausts look real and the model additions represent a better-looking scale model.

I do not have the F-86 NIB as Motion RC has discontinued that airframe.

I am hoping for a future Version 2 release, but who knows.

I've looked at the FMS F-86 and it looks awesome, but I have not decided one way or the other.

I did pickup the Freewing T-33 pre-tariff negotiations.

As for a group build the F-86 made sense to me as it was inexpensive, great flyer, highly modifiable, and was available.

Motion RC has the big Nexa SBD,Dauntless, so I don't know that bird would be viable for a 1600 mm FlightLine addition, but you never know.

It would be very cool with enough built-in features, just my $00,02USD.

These are actually very fine pointed brushes for fine nail detail painting. They use some type of acrylic paint that the customer puts her fingers under an UV light to harden after the tech. has completed the design. The little balls on the brushes are for putting round dots in the design. Take a look at your wife or daughters nails and you will be amazed at the detail that goes on their nails. When I asked the price for this, I realized my modeling hobby budget doesn't come close to what women spend a year. Daughter said the average customer spends $150+ (cut, coloring, nails, peti-cure, massage) per visit and most come every 3 weeks to-do all over again. Guess our scale hobby is really cheap.

Like I need another airplane, but a group build would be great. I think Elbee has a FW f-86 in the box and I could be persuaded to purchase one this fall if we had several others that wanted to join in. Would be nice to share ideas in mods. and make the winter fly by with daily updates. Hopefully others will add their opinions.

PS- Now if FL releases a 1600mm SBD, Thats what I'd buy.

These are the brushes Rex found.

The colored beads are inside of the brush handles; a different color for each size brush length.

The sizes range from 5/7/10/12/15 mm in length and each has a different size ball end for placing the tiny bits-o-pieces of bling on the nails.

Price seems great to me.

Give us a report when you can, Rex.

Dan, You have seen these fly so you need to get one also and add all the modifications. This and the FL Corsair are definitely two of the best models on the market to modify. FMS P-47- $379

I was kicking around the idea actually! Also, in regards to a bunch of us getting together (at least on line) and taking on the same plane as a winter project would be fun. I was hoping to see a new F/L warbird by then, but we might not. Anyone have some ideas regarding existing models?

While visiting my daughter's hair salon, to beat our 103' heat and humidity, I was watching a beautiful nail technician paint designs on a customer's nails. She was using very fine nail brushes. She said she bought them on Amazon. When I got home, I found and ordered a set, $3.98. Just what I have been looking for that real fine detail when painting. Oh, Did I mention she was a beautiful technician. LOL

Cool! Can you put in any color that we would normally use on our warbirds? I see there are little "beads" inside each pen of different colors. What are those? Are those the colors for the nail paint? I'd definitely be interested in learning more about these paint pens, especially the exquisite designs you can make in a very tiny size. If they work for nails, maybe they would work for our planes, too! Putting the correct paint color for our rc uses would be a big question for me if they are suitable or not for our craft.

Hi Rex: if only it was a full size P-47!!! Thanks for the comments. If you want me to send you some printed V2 prop cuffs For Lucky, let me know. Also, if you want a printed Elbee prop dome I can throw one of those in, too. They print up easily and fit very well on the V3 FMS Corsair prop bases.

If you want them, I can send it to your snail mail address. Maybe PM me the address and I'll send you at least 5 of them (four plus a spare.) with the tests last week and today, I think they will work ok.

So, the winds and rainshowers abated for a while, leaving us with gorgeous blue skies and light winds this morning. Had to take advantage of that! Today's flights I got three flights on my intended final airplane for the CE prop and dome, "Ole Cock". I have almost 50 flights on this airplane now, a lot more on the other two that I have. I made up a duplicate CE prop to try on this airplane to see how different the two of them were (they should be identical, in theory) but I wanted to see if there were any big differences between the two that I made up.

The first flight I got in carried no drop tank, a clean configuration, and flew it around the patch several times before bringing it in for a normal, routine landing. I then switched to the identical other prop and added the foam centerline drop tank. It flew about the same. Did one more flight for good measure, and called it a day.

How did they do? Both props acted as I expected them to, little to no difference between them. With the Elbee printed cuffs and my using better gluing technique as well as sealing the ends of each cuff, with CA, they were more aerodynnamic that my earlier versions, and throughout all the tests so far, they have hung in there rigidly with no damage, slippage, or anything I could find how they might have degraded any on the test flights so far.

My next tests will use the CE prop for some flights, and the stock (meaning the V3 FMS 1700mm Corsair prop) with no cuffs on it. I want to see if one is a bit "draggier" than the other, although I don't expect to see much difference.

I'll post some pics from this morning. On one photo, I placed the extra prop that was also flown this morning along with the mounted one. Both have the CE cuffs on them.

Mix a little mortar or concrete with that sand (30-40 %) and when it rains (lightly) it will harden into crack filler.

It's what I do around here to fill in almost every concrete crack, chip and etc.

I think I might spend some time hauling over some of that sand that they've been piling up from the gravel pit expansion on our field's west side. Maybe it will smoothen out some of those pesky cracks. I know that the rain will eventually wash it away again, but it's not like there's not enough sand sitting there.

I don't think they'd miss a few shovelsful of that sand. I'd be up for doing that to fill in some of those GD cracks in the runway! Especially with jets, almost every takeoff is like an RAF jet taking off one of those carriers with the ramp on the end. I think they call them "jump jets." Except with this runway, you don't know exactly when or where on the takeoff roll it is going to occur. You just have to react and help it get flying speed before it crashes. What a life!
