I bet the owners pool is shrinking since replacements aren't available.

I did get to see one in the flesh the other day.

I kept thinking, I wonder if they would ever do a new Su35. Twin 80s.

If they do, I hope they don't make an overweight pig like some of the recent offerings.. . . .

They did kind of hit a sweet spot with the SU.

Agreed. I hope they make a bigger one but keep the weight in check!

In the meantime, I come with new exciting Flanker goodies for y'all to enjoy, hehehehe...

If they do come out with a new version of the 70mm Su-35, it will most likely be made of EPO, not EPP (correction: EPS). This will result in a heavier plane - that's what happened when they re-did the F/A-18E with thrust-vectoring (V2). On the other hand, they would upgrade the EDF's to in-runners.

The recent offerings also seem to have a lot more injection molded plastic parts ,which add weight. Example, the 70mm F-35 V3, which comes out heavier than the 80mm Mirage 2000 although both are EPO.

2nd life of a wear-and-tear “FrankenFlanker” (mix of grey and desert fuselage parts) to a Test Pilots livery.
