Looking to the group for experience/recommendation on changing the FW HP Inrunner setup over to the JP 6s outrunner setup. Ive been told its plug-n-play, lighter, more efficient, more revs. What has been your in flight benefit/experience for those using the JP unit. Thanks in advance for the intel.

Hmmm not totally sure it will be much if a change in the right direction. What are you looking to get out of it? Lighter weight, higher thrust, more speed or a combo of all? I would recommend the newer inrunner offerings from Freesing or if you want light and efficient performance at a reasonalble price then go for the FMS 90mm combo. You can use the stock esc and its much lighter than stock. You get s slight speed increase but flight times really go up with that combo. $100 upgrade as opposed to the much higher tag for the JP.Originally posted by Jdcrow View PostLooking to the group for experience/recommendation on changing the FW HP Inrunner setup over to the JP 6s outrunner setup. Not really looking to make this bird perform beyond scale speed. All the scale appearing features were the draw when i bought this one.Originally posted by gooniac33 View Post

Airtime is always the desire. I purchased the F-15 High Performance version in-runner. I will try the JP 90mm (its paired to their in-runner) in it and hopefully have some 1-1 data. May see if the FW In-runner will pair up to the JP Fan Unit.

If you want great scale performance the FMS unit is hard to beat. Super light and very efficient at the usual 1/2 throttle settings while still moving lots of air to still give the plane the ability to climb at this throttle setting. Not many others out there can do what it can. Are the Jp fans you speak of the all metal red and gold ones? If so the efficiency of the FMS is far better than those....Originally posted by Jdcrow View Post

I’m glad to report the lead weight in the nose cone is unnecessary. I test flew it today and it performs remarkably better. My Eagle has the 9 blade EDF 6S power system w/3748-1750kV outrunner motor (same as F/A-18C and F-22) modified with ceramic bearings. I use Admiral 5000mAh 50C batteries mounted at the aft limit of the battery tray.
Are the cheater vents necessary? Maybe I’ll test that next.

Got some really good flights with the F-15 yesterday! Also was able to help Pete Lane get his FMS powered bird into the air. He did the flying I just helped with some trim and coaching. It was a great day for the F-15 and we got some really good formation footage and golden hour flying! I will share when it uploads...Check me out on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/user/gooniac33
