  • Those latest FNRC videos somewhat confirms what I originally thought in my mind after seeing their earlier vids ........................... Either this plane really needs a gyro or the pilot needs to calm down the tremors in his thumbs. It looks wobbly and "loose".

Videos being quality ................. perhaps. First vids, couldn't see the plane because it got so far away. Latest vids, the plane wizzed by so fast, it couldn't be kept in frame (too much zoom). They can't seem to win.

    • I wonder if that a mode 1 thing. Throwing rudder at a plane seems to induce roll. If you watch this video you can see them wiggling the rudder and the canards and ailerons wiggle too

        • For anyone interested and has BBC Earth on the TV, there is currently repeating episodes of Brian Cox's Adventures in Space and Time - What Is Time? Season 1, Episode 4.

There is a wonderful clip of the real Eurofighter as it blasts it's way to nearly Mach 2 with Cox on board. He points out all the "classified" stuff on the plane that they can't film or talk about.

                    At MotionRC?

RC Castle is supposed to be sending their orders out Feb. 16, so could be possible for them.

Wouldn't that be a nice surprise. Possible but it's not likely they are even on the boat yet, then comes 2 to 3 weeks to transit. Confusion doesn't last long while doing the happy dance.

                            • Same here. If not by the end of the week, beginning of next week. Should see it in about 10 days after that - early in the week of Feb. 20. Early is always a good thing.

                              • I'm still surprised MRC hasn't given ANY update on their timeline. Per their website: "We will update the ETA as various milestones in the production and shipping process are completed." You can't tell me that we have hit zero milestones so far.

                                • They probably don't want to update anything until the shipping company has accepted the container onto the dock yard. Then who knows how long it sits there loading before weighing anchor?

                                    • And yet, children all over the world love to track Santa on Christmas Eve from the North Pole. Even adults get into it. There are many facets to human nature.

As a former "car nut", I can understand it. That special factory order creates excitement from start to finish. If I could know when the first weld was done to the last bolt that got screwed on, that would have been satisfying in itself. If I were truly anal, I would have my cousin stake out RC Castle and tell me when the delivery truck with my plane shows up, but luckily, I'm not that obsessed just yet.
