I got plans to run full pan and tilt digital fpv on this one, pilot and rio positions, per my normal setups.

There is electronic programming in the sequencer/gyro to prevent any issues. If you have the flaps down, the wings won't sweep. If you have the wings swept, the flaps won't go down. Wes goes over it around 20 minutes into the assembly video that is on the product page if you want to see what I mean.

Thanks. On the 80mm one I had to program that into my transmitter.

Any grass ops videos planned? It helps for the pilots to determine if this gorgeous model will work out for them on their grass fields.

You are likely wondering who 3D-Seth is? Seth has been at Motion RC a bit over a year. He is a highly skilled product manager/developer here at Motion RC. Seth can answer loads of your questions about this plane.

Well my Arrows F-15 lost signal today and had a nose on encounter with mother earth So perfect opportunity to pick up an F-14 ARF version, so I just did
The Freewing 2500kV EDF's and 60amp ESC's as well as the 7 Channel receiver I had updated in the Arrows F-15 will work great in the F-14. Should be here next week. Can't wait......

The F-14 needs more than 7 channels unless you bypass the gyro and reversing.

Already figured that out, I'm taking a AR 8020T receiver out of my T-33 for the F-14 and putting my now extra RX637T receiver in the T-33. So problem solved.

I just watched a video by Wes where he says that out of the box his gyro was connected with the pitch correction reversed, and he showed how to correct it.

I hope all purchasers check their gyro function!

                                Mine arrived:

                                1. The gyro is correctly installed.

                                2. If you don't plug in the gyro mode lead, the gyro defaults to "basic gain" (rate) mode. If that's all you want, it saves you a channel.

We added the KM RC Model double
Universal afterburners in the New Freewing F-14A They look amazing!! Just a slight modification needed for these and the stock screws do not fit because the 64mm has smaller holes than the 80/90mm EDF units. We also added in scale lighting to the back for the strobes, and the nose light, as well as the additional pilot will be placed in there tonight! I do not have any additional small green lights at this time. Otherwise I would have one in the cockpit as well. The maiden will be tomorrow if the wind is not as bad. We are super excited!! How hard was it to thread the wires for the afterburner through the fuselage? Did you have to remove the perforated cover over the ESC compartment?

Told myself I really don't need another F-14, but the smaller size was too hard to resist along with all the upgrades. The hard part is going to be explaining it to my higher authority.

Man I love how Motion operates. Super fast shipping on the East Coast.
Seems like mine arrived in good shape. The wings look tiny! I'm sure it will have some presence though when put together.
