The wings cleared customs and should be delivered today. That's 4 days from RCC. Brokerage, taxes, fees, etc ................. 15 Canuck bucks. You can just guess what it would have been if it was FedEx or UPS.Originally posted by CF-105 View PostActually the reassessment was whether to get the wings at all. Buying from Motion isn’t a consideration, for precisely the reasons you pointed out. A while back I calculated the cost to my door of getting the F4 Phantom: from Motion I’d be looking at about $1500; from RCC or Ali $1000-$1100. Not Motion’s fault, it’s the shipping & currency rates.
(Well, actually I can give an example.) Not quite on par in terms of declared value, but I bought my Ares from MotionRC not long ago. Brokerage, fees, taxes and taxes on fees came to $114.00. At about the same time frame, I bought the twin 80mm MiG29 from RCC (a much more expensive plane than the Ares). ALL brokerage costs ......... $19.00. Of course, I only had to pay for shipping from RCC once.

The last shipment was received at Motion RC on February 6th and sold out on February 10th. I just spoke with purchasing and it looks like it's expected to take another 3-4 months to get in stock in the US warehouse.Originally posted by kallend View PostStill no V2 wings at Motion.
Coming up on 4 months now.

Considering that I am on the "Notify when in stock" list since last November and heard nothing, that is very annoying.Originally posted by jbaartz View Post

Just unpacked 2 sets of V2 wings from RCC. Very sturdy packaging. Raymond builds a custom foam box for them. Ours came with the longer pushrods and covering for the servo wire channels. Saved >25 bucks over waiting for Motion to get stock.
Several sellers on AliEx are selling them, too. Some are tricky in that they don't specifically mention that they are selling V1 wings. I've had experience with a couple others and their business practices are a bit dubious. End result would have been a higher price than what RCC offered. Well, April isn't that far off for US customers to buy from Motion.

During the website transition there was an issue with the back in stock notifications and a different platform had to be implemented. It was offline for a bit during that time and some shipments missed getting their notifications sent out. It's working correctly now and I believe that all of the old data was carried over, but it wouldn't hurt to sign up for it again.Originally posted by kallend View Post
