        • Great video Dr Tom! Sounds and looks much more realistic with the slower frame rates. I need to try that.

          • Anyone have an issue with freewing 120A Brushless ESC with 7A UBEC and Thrust Reversing on the 90mm 8S v2 f16? Each time I’ve hooked it up it works great, once, then stays on reverse. Any help is much appreciated!

No problems here. Reverse works each and every time. Hard to help when we don't know how you've got it set up. What radio? What channel are you using for reverse? Do you have the proper switch assigned to that channel? Which switch? What are the limits of the switch travel (-100 to +100 for Spektrum)? Does that switch work for anything else? Is the throttle calibrated?

              • Sorry, this is my first go and went all in. Radio is TX16S mkII, ELRS to an ER8 receiver, throttle on ch3 with reverse on ch7, SH momentary switch assigned to rev on ch7, travel -100 to +100. Nothing else on that switch. May need to recalibrate the throttle. I’m running solo with no one else that I know of in the hobby. Thanks for your time!

                • At least now, someone with Radiomaster knowledge can come along and look at those details and possibly see where a fault might be. I'm a Spektrum guy and those points are the things I can think of to check but how these points need to be analyzed are likely different for your radio than for Spektrum. My only other thought on this topic has to do with the ESC. It is possible that in the ESC programming parameters, the reverse brake attributes was not set from the factory and you must go into it and define the reverse in that step.
I had a similar issue years ago but it was with a twin ESC and Spektrum. Reverse only worked once just like in your case but in my case, it switched over to the other ESC and stopped recognizing the first ESC. I have one Radiomaster radio but it was pre-programmed for a RTF plane. Even still, that radio system completely confuses me.
There are a few Radiomaster guys here. Hopefully one of them sees your question.

                    • Try reducing the travel on your channel 7.

                        • So, upon further investigation, the ESC for my f16 is programmed at the factory and shipped with the reverse thrust off. They don’t make a programmer for this reverse thrust ESC so I’ll have to attempt it with the radio. I get some may not need it but then in those cases, just leave the reverse lead unplugged. If it were easy…..
Thanks for the help for this noob, everyone.

As I suspected. Getting a manual for this ESC is very simple. All I did was go to the "support" tab in the MotionRC webpage for this plane. All you need to know about programming the ESC using the TX and beep tones. It's a PDF file.
