I agree, but the $660 is a crazy price. Compare it to the similar 1600 Spitfire price (yes, I know there are newer, nice thinks on the Mustang). I bought it as soon as it came out and like it and how it flies. The only down side of the plane is it's price.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. It's not so simple however. There are a multitude of factors that go into the price point of these models and it's not just "taking away amenities" that goes into the final price point.

Mustang maiden went well this evening, just a few clicks of down elevator trim required. I had to fiddle with the wing release buttons, a touch of alloy filing and cleaning a bit of paint off the the push pegs and adding a bit of silicone oil and a couple of dozen presses and they now work fine. One day they will learn how to paint the white bits where the canopy meets the fuselage to hide the white line that inevitably appears. Time for a visit to B&Q for a a small pot of colour matched paint again. Click image for larger version

finally got one to load I don’t know what the issue was

I added invasion stripes to the top of the wing and yellow to the tail. I was having some issues with it silhouetting at a distance in a high wing over. This helped tremendously and although I know it’s not correct to scale for Frenesi, I like it!
    love it

Glad your flights are going well. Seems to be a pretty standard remark from others that this is a great new flying airplane!

    Cheers

Question: did you strip the original paint or just oversprayed with metallic silver?
Thank you very much! I just sprayed over the stock paint. Went on beautifully.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I may do something similar to what you did, start with a clean silver canvas as you did, but a with different scheme. Initially, I was hesitant to buy a brand new $600 plane then repaint it. I've done quite a bit of model painting, so I should be fine. I've used the blue tape and done very well with it. I have to say, doing your very own scheme is a lot of fun and when done right, quite rewarding.
You will do great. If this isn't your first rodeo, this is a breeze. Sounds like you are well versed with the blue tape too. Making her your own is in itself the reward. Look forward to your photos!

So, theoretically you could snip the "Red" throttle lead wire and use a Rx Battery Pack, as well?

The thing that threw me was not seeing a BEC lead to plug into the RX. The guys here helped me understand that the built-in BEC (built in to the ESC that is) powers the RX through the throttle lead that connects to the RX.

The separate pigtail off the battery lead/connector is a separate source for auxiliary stuff you might add. Note: Do not connect this pigtail to the RX.
