Here are a few pics of my Tiger 1, Metal tracks were etched in white vinegar for 2 hours, then painted and highlighted with a burnish wheel, bogie wheels are paint mixed with baking soda for the mud effect.

Heng Long Abrams running aftermarket metal/rubber padded tracks and "long travel" suspension modification and upgraded 390 high torque motors . Simply unstoppable 1/16 r/c off road monster of a tank.

After seeing James with the new tanks today on the Live show, I could really appreciate how nice the new HL tanks have become, and they look great...I put together an early HL with Tamiya laser shooting years ago, but I ran it more on my garden railroad, than at club battles..i'm going to pick-up a new one, but like everybody else, I like them all..!

This started life as a humble Panzer III about 7 years ago, before the inside was gutted, the front and back plates removed, and a few other changes. Someday Ill have a scratch built SU76M to drive around. Ive built it in such a way that the gun could potentially have elevation, traverse, and recoil, but space constrains make it unlikely to have all 3, a smoke unit is completely out of the question, and a speaker is only possible if I didnt mind having it sit in the gun cabin while I was running it.

My first tank, so by definition, my first attempt at weathering. I've not worked with oil paints before, very different beasts to acrylic but I can see why they're loved so much in terms of the subtle effects they can create.

That said nothing beats an airbrush for really getting the grime laid on lol.
