      • On a 2 week business trip, and brought the UMX B-25 along to squeeze in some flying. One flight out in front of beautiful Mt. Blanca, and one at a Veterans memorial with a T-33 one a pole off a backroad.

                • We had our informal Fly In yesterday, a great day for flying, a little breeze down the runway and the temps stayed in the 70's, Overnighted it in the trailer but the wind was up in the morning which is never a good sign in Cody, so packed it up and came home, a whole 10 min drive.

Hey Ox, better make an appointment with the eye doc, that's a F7F Tigercat. ;)

                            • Oh, hell. I'm surrendering my warbird card right now.... :Loser: and calling for an appointment with my optometrist.

The color and large tail tricked me. I did look at it twice, knowing that something didn't seem quite right, but ultimately convinced myself that it was an A-26. I'm soooooo embarrassed. LOL

                                  • Looks to be a new fuselage and cowl. Have to source the parts since its dconed. I'm gonna try for the canopy as well for the fpv project as for the rest of the planes I took along, seawind, P38, A10 and F18, they flew to perfection no trauma to report thankfully.

                                    • Flew my Tigercat today. I should have played the lottery because after a great flight, the port propeller fell off on landing. If it had been in the air, I would have lost the aircraft.

I've now had two of the spinners fail in the same way. The screw holding the prop onto the shaft can push through the thin plastic retainer. The design is defective and I hope it is never repeated on future models. The bolt design on the B24 is much more secure.

Until I can engineer a fix to this, I'm afraid one of my favorite planes is grounded . I'm hoping that a retaining washer epoxied to support the plastic will prevent the screw from pulling through the crappy plastic.

                                        • So after going over the fuselage I gave it alittle hot water treatment so the only thing needed now is a new cowling and alittle touch up paint. That makes me very happy
