I called Motion today, and they did confirm this, 5.5 volts is the ideal settings for the retracts and that I did burn up my gear servos. I have purchased new gear servos to replace the original. I will be installing a 5.5 volt BEC. I will update when I get them installed and tested. Thanks for all the help !!!Originally posted by Pete Lane View PostI asked Alpha directly back in the A-10 days and customer support said do not use a 2 cell lipo.
And yes, they said 5.5 volts is the ideal setting.

What was wrong with the stock BEC that you felt the need to use a RX battery?Originally posted by fordster39 View Post

Scale is secondary to performance. If you are going to go whole-hog, wheel minutiae and all, go at it - no need to throw shade on other people for what they do or don't do. That's just rude.Originally posted by DCORSAIR View PostBeen watching all the builds and all the talk about scale flying, scale tailerons, full span flaps but I haven't seen anyone change out those ugly wagon wheels, that is the first thing coming off mine, all this talk about scale and you guys are flying with those not so scale wheels.? ....:)
