My previous statement still stands. Even with sub 700g batteries it is quite nose heavy out of the box.

"At a minimum I’d do 25-30. Dremel the plastic exhaust and add that there and then if you need more put it under the vertical stab." Or put 3D printed tail pieces on that you can add lead to...

        Question:
Does the eurofighter have a tough gear to handle bumpy runway. "My" rubway is made out of some sort of carrotcloth (prevents roots and grass from groing trough) on top of a grass field. So its a bumpy runway no matter what.. so far my mirage 2000 is handeling it because the gears fold back. Is this going to be a problem with the gear?

The Eurofighter is a highly maneuverable (acrobatic) aircraft. Scale flying IS acrobatic.

or any of the other airshow videos.

The gear is tough but the fuselage has a weak point immediately ahead of the cheater intakes. A lot of us have noticed cracks developing there.

Ah thats a first for me, good to know. Does it need to be reinforced or are we talking about "stress cracks"

Do you guys think the eurofighter gear is just as tough as the 90mm f22 raptor?

The gear itself, yes. I’d say the Euro is more stout. The main mount in the wings and the top surface is showing some disforming though my landings have been very smooth. Not that the F22 has weak gear by any means. It does have a spring loaded knuckle that makes turning on the ground at speed tough. And as they are at an angle you need to watch set screw tightness. Also some have reported the plastic mount loosening in the foam.

Bottom line both are fairly stout.

Does anyone have a picture of the weak spot effect on the eurofighter?

When you add the tailweight of 25 to 30grams. Is this instead of the weight in the box or extra weight?

There is no unique answer to this. It's whatever you need to get the CG where you want it with the battery pack you will be using.

Thanks for the picture, looks bad! Specialy at this price point, last thing i would expect is the fuselage to crack

Discovered cracks in mine. If you remove the spring loaded inlet assemblies, it will open it up and you can see weak points. I took NCA and worked it in the cracks and then press it back together then I re-glued the inlets back on as they help support that area, all is good now

Add a little more info, I used thin C A then sprayed accelerator. Holding the fuse to tighten the crack areas. Then I refluxed the spring loaded cheaters on.

There are several cutouts in the fuselage that weaken it in that area - the airbrake, the cheaters, and the landing gear wheel wells. It's also where the maximum bending load occurs when landing on the mains. The cracks generally run between these areas of stress concentration. FW really should have reinforced it there.

Time for a new Euro video...

The more I fly it, the more I'm convinced it is the best EDF jet in this size category for flying loaded rolls.
                                      I freakin' wholeheartedly love it.
