Simply paint over the decals. I like to use a foam roller and then a quick rub with a 320 grit pad to get the original paint smoothness back .

As did I. Painted over with a primer first, sanded, then the new base coat, graphics, and finished off with 4 coats clear exterior spar urethane.
Just did another F4 and had to do the same.

So just finished rewiring my Typhoon (removed the control box) and it works like a champ. No canard movement on the roll axis like the full size, and my gear go down/up in 4.3 seconds, including the sequenced rear doors (closed > open > closed) (Down from 15 secs stock). Tomorrow will be all about setting up the control throws and CG and then its hope for a nice day between now and the New Year.

And Hugh, I have Callie working on a custom scheme for me. it will be another few weeks and It should be NUTS.

Well, Hugh's is high viz too. Hugh Wiedman Impressive execution as well. I know I've probably commented on it in the past but it looks fantastic!

Would any one care to share their High and Low rate throws? The book is calling for 43mm/35mm on the Elevator and that is visually terrifying especially when you consider the Canards as well. I know settings are very personal but looking for some validation of the book.

Developing some printed rims which go with Dave Brown low bounce tires... ODs are same as OEM. Nose wheel is a bit wider. Should improve scale appearance and durability with no weight penality.

Hi Kallend, your RAF Typhoon is fantastic! I've finished the top of the wings, but working on the Callie vertical stabilizer and the bottom of the wings feels a bit challenging. Aligning the vertical stabilizer is tricky, and dealing with all those angles, servos, bumps, and holes can be intimidating. I've accidentally cut into the foam, leading to some touch-up work on one side of the vertical stabilizer. Any tips, tricks, or advice for covering these parts? Thanks a bunch!

Just take it slowly and if necessary on the bottom of the wing, do it in pieces.

Got mine back up after the battery tray mod I did late last year. This is a still shot from next Saturday's "1 Year of Perfection" - easily the best jet of 2023 by far. I love the stock 6 cell setup - it's stupidly overpowered. I'm balancing about 55 to 60mm behind the wing marks. I decreased AS3X priority so the gyro overrides my stick inputs so that I can't overcontrol the jet - just like the full scale flight computer works. It's so nice like this.

My 8S is about 25mm behind that point and from the looks of your battery placement, I assume you're 55-60 mm behind the factory balance point. I have to remove some stuff and maybe even add some tail lead to get there, but judging on your flight videos, it seems to fly great there.

It's 55-60mm behind the marks with a small amount of weight as far back in the tail (under the rudder) as I can get it.
