    • [QUOTE=xviper;n369730]And yet, children all over the world love to track Santa on Christmas Eve from the North Pole. Even adults get into it. There are many facets to human nature.

I bought an F4 as a surrogate for now, I should get it this week. I've always wanted one so its a dream come true. I'll pretend it's Christmas and then when the Eurofighter arrives I'll pretend it's my birthday. It's good to be an adult child sometimes.

      • Growing up can be so over-rated, as is growing old.

Very nice for the folks in USA/Europe. Kinda fits into my last "guesstimate". Getting loaded on the boat right about now, soon to head out to sea.

I hope it's not late. I leave for Australia/New Zealand at the end of March.. If it's late I'll need alternate delivery options.

I'll send you my address and you can use it as the "alternate delivery option".

I believe most delivery companies give you the option of changing the delivery location online even up to the day before it’s supposed to arrive at your door. When you track the package via the shipping company’s website, you can find this option there. You may have to register an account first and prove you are who you are in case you’re a sophisticated porch pirate. I’m not sure what they ask for to prove your ID. For me, I’m allowed to have it sent to my nearest postal station, where I must show ID when I go pick it up. This won’t work for you since you’ll be gone for more than the 2 weeks they’ll hold it for you.

                        • Just checked the tracking on the Typhoon. It went by Hong Kong Post but some company called "Parcelforce" (UK based) is involved and HK Post thinks it's going to the UK first. Could be a misunderstanding by HKP. If it goes to UK, that'll burn up another 2 days going the other way around the world. Canada Post just says it's on the way here.
It's like the old days when parcels went from Hong Kong through Frankfurt. All kinds of strange shipping processes these days.

                          • These fellas sure do have fun with their Typhoons. On the most part, they all appear to fly pretty good. However, a gyro would really help that wing rock.

                            • They look like they fly very well even with all the stores. And good high alpha. A little rock with a delta is common.

                              • On their channel, they also have a flight with a 6s and an 8s Typhoon at the same time. I can't really tell which one is the 8s as they never did a "drag race". With full stores, I'm glad I got the 8S. They look so mean with all those explosives hanging off them.

                                • While I did order the 6S I do have a JF/ HET 8S standing by incase...

                                  • I didn't see a whole pile of difference between the 6s and 8s. it could just have been the way they were flying them. if i see more videos of the 8s when they hit western shores and feel my 6s needs more punch I will just buy the new 8s fan and swap it over.

                                    • I think those fellas get a bit nervous when they group fly with 4 jets. I don't blame them. When I'm flying with 3 others with the same jet, I'm very cautious. I only do drag races when there's 2 of us. Also, if you plan to fly with all the armament as I do, I think 8s will help push it along.

BTW, our Typhoons have arrived at Canada Customs. Should have them in 2 to 3 days.

                                      • Completely agree XViper. my experience slope soaring combat gliders has taught me that if you try to hit other planes you can't but if you're trying not to hit anyone BAM that's when it happens 😂

I will see how it goes on 6S for now I don't normally fly with all the ordnance on my jets just a few bits here and there. I'm jealous of you there. here in Europe its looking like end of march before we get ours. even longer for me as I'm not on the mainland here in Ireland 😒 so I'll just have to watch what all you guys get up to with them in the next few weeks on youtube and probably get buyers remorse when people start listing faults on a jet that I have en route 😂

I've had 3 mid-airs over several seasons many, many years ago. The planes never looked like they were even close to each other. I'm extremely cautious now when doing formation flying.
I'm not sure how the Motion Typhoons are travelling to Europe. Are they on the same boat as those destined for Los Angeles and then get transferred to another mode of transport to Europe? I have no idea. If they're on a different ship and heading off in the opposite direction from Hong Kong to you, it may not take too much longer than the ones going to LA. In any case, "end of March" is a reasonable guess. With luck, maybe a couple weeks sooner. They surely must be floating with the dolphins by now.
