Nevertheless, Nice Work! I've had a bit of "heat" scarring on my F-18 and F-4 Nozzles as well. Maybe I should say "Extreme Heat", cause as you know, I go a bit overboard on everything!

Yes, LB, these are my nightmarish version of "Scale Exhaust Nozzles". I was actually trying to match Tamm's Fusia Kitchen Aide dough mixer she saw that reminded her of me! :lying_face: They do radiate in the air!

Yes gyro to receiver is three single connections for the aileron, elevator and rudder signals and two three connection wires for the sensitivity and mode. Then each aileron, elevator and rudder servo plugs into their assigned slots. Other things like reverse, retracts, drogue chute or other non flight surface servos go straight to the receiver.

The single signal wires for A, E and R does confuse some people.

I’ve had some bad servos in the past, even if it was just one or the other I should have had some opposite authority, everything seemed locked up, no rudder either. I didn’t have any holds showing during or after impact. It does announce that too, I had the volume up since I was the only one there. I’m at a loss. I wanna buy another, but now have concerns. I don’t fly much with gyros anymore, but was even considering the one with a gyro, to magically save it, if it were to happen again. lol wishful thinking. I’m bummed, it’s a beautiful model.

They are different spring rates. If you want a softer strut compression, use the 2nd set.

I haven't changed mine out. Kept the stock springs. I fly off both GeoTex surface and grass. For me, the stock springs seems to work OK for both. People used to complain about this horrible kangaroo bounce on landing that caused severe damage in some cases. They thought the struts were too stiff. Some resorted to turning the struts backwards to minimize the bounce. I think that's one reason why Freewing included different springs. I suggest you decide for yourself if the bounce is a problem. If so, then consider swapping them for the other set provided. The V2 seems to have addressed a few of the issues found in the V1, one of which is the "bounce".

I am setting up the Spektrum AR10360T rx and am stumped on the setup. I want to remove the freewing gyro but have no experience setting up twin edfs. Do I y the the throttle and thrust reverse leads, and do I y the nose gear into the main gear. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I pushed the right multi plug out of the way and now see where the throttle and reverse thrust connectors go but still no sure about the nose gear.

Yes, you can "Y" the 2 reverse signal wires together. Just remember that those single reverse wires are "signal" wires, so disregard their color. Plug the Y into any empty port and assign that channel to a switch for reverse. Don't do any programming for reverse in the Avian ESC programming menu in the TX. That's only if you are using Spektrum smart ESCs.
Insofar as the nose gear is concerned, there are 2 items to consider. One is the gear itself, which can be ganged with the mains. The other is the steering servo. Your Spektrum 10-ch should be programmable for steering gyro, so the steering servo will have to be plugged into a separate channel where you can program gain and direction. There are YouTube videos showing how to do this and what gains to use. It's been a long time since I did this steering gyro thing on a Spektrum RX. I've forgotten how it's done.
