Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Kwanzaa to everyone indeed!
Update: Just got back from Chris' place...Going over strategy for the wing and all its components. Figuring out the best plan to power the various electrical systems that will control the servos/gear/doors. With winter break under way Chris will be getting a lot done with the wing. The plan is to have the wing fully complete and all the components properly functioning by the end of January in which time we will turn to the fuselage and get the rudder/elevator push/pull re-routed to make room for the full depth cockpit and get the motor mounted and power system going. From there a lot of bench testing with a 2-blade as well as the Beila 3-blade.
Pappy should be arriving sometime today so I will get a shot of him in his makeshift "office" when I get back from dinner with the fam. Hope it's waiting for me by then!3 PhotosMy YouTube RC videos:

So, one piece of advice. Those pictures reminded me that when you first fire up all those wing servos, especially the flaps, it might be a good idea to disconnect the control arms from the servos in case your settings are allot different than mine were. Those big savox servos could do allot of damage if they were reversed or very different on your transmitter. You may well have already considered this but just thought I'd throw that out there. Getting the first cataract/replacement lense procedure the day after Christmas. Second one in about two months. That should greatly improve my flying confidence.

Good to hear! Without vision we don't have this hobby we love!
Pappy got lost in the mail for a few days during the holidays but he's been discovered in a bar in Seattle...USPS (i.e. Designated Driver) will be delivering him to my home tomorrow or Friday where he can sober up. LOLMy YouTube RC videos:

According to Pappy's book, he used to hook cords to the stick of his "steed" to keep it flying straight and level and sleep off the previous night's bender in flight and his squadron mates would call and wake him up when action was coming. In the meantime, oxygen helped with recovery as well. Just a little trivia.
