Congrats on taking on this guy as your next project! It’s not been easy, but it definitely is a great looking kit. My best advise is keep it light. This would minimize your stress on the main gear, which is the critical component that my heavy machine tends to over stress. The belt drive tail should help in that department.

For power system, 1700 rpm should be a good target. That’s around a 1400 KV motor with a 14T pinion. Do not use less than a 13T pinion as it puts a lot of stress on the gear. The old RC Aerodyne manual actually had a warning against this printed in it.
