After i tried the bifurcated pipe and i saw that wasn't the best solution(lack of power and more fuel) i decided to buy another plane and install an oval pipe. This time i didn't had to cut the plane to install the new pipe. I also painted in black to see better the difference between the two faces. Also i replace the receiver with a 12 ch to have the rudders on separate chanel and to have the possibility to make some mix, in order to help me to take off easier from our field. We will see.

For the third F22 i decided to put a straight oval pipe with the X45! Good decision! the plane fly awesome, i flew around 10 min with 1 l tank, so that is very good. Before with the bifurcated pipe i flew only 4 min with a 0.8 l tank and the tale off was difficult. But how you can see in the movie, i fly only on the grass field and my problem is the behavior of the plane. How can avoid the hopping of the plane? My Sebart's friend doesn't have this behavior..

Looking for some thoughts on lipo battery’s getting cell blow out in my F22 90mm freewing. I’ve had 2 6s 5000mha HRB and one admiral 6s 5100mah battery’s blow out one battery cell during flight. The EDF is a jet fan 90mm with a Freewing 1960 kv motor and the stock
freewing 130amp esc. Anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening? Battery’s getting expensive!

Could be multiple things, do you store them at the right voltage? So you fly to around 3.7v or completly empty them out? Do you cell balance etc etc.

Completed the design of the F-22 scale wheel rims with rolling element bearings & low bounce tires. Compatible with Dave Brown low bounce tires which have excellent performance, light weight and low cost. Front rims have 2.0” and 1.75” wheel diameter options. Nose Gear Strut Extension and Nose Gear Flex Brace have been previously posted on RCG.

The wheel rim and tooling print files in the .3MF format (includes slicer metadata) are available along with a 10 page assembly guide. More pictures in my RCG post.

Hello, I am trying to find blueprints of the outer surface of this plane to model in Blender. For this goal, I need photos or drawings, from the top, front and side angles. I checked the manual but couldn't find useful blueprint-worthy assets. There is nothing else in the support tab also, for downloading. I am looking for an image file looks like below, but only in the correct proportions of Freewing F22, not some random F22 blueprint on the internet. Thanks in advance.

Having fun with my new 90mm F-22 Raptor. Have 5 flights on it so far. For grins, I found plans to make a more scale dual landing light that goes on the nose gear strut. It was pretty simple to print up, wire up, and install. Finished it just now. The two side-by- side landing lights look cool and probably more scale, certainly more scale than the OEM locomotive-looking train light that I don't care for. Besides, it gave me a little more experience printing and assembling parts with my fairly new Prusa mini printer. Some pics below.

Curious how you mounted the LEDs w/o the lenses? I didn't really provision for that option, but you seem to have found a way...

Hi Fast N Light: first of all, thank you for designing these parts. They printed up beautifully. I did not see any name as to the author when I found it online last week, otherwise I would have posted your name for the credit.

I’m still new to 3D printing so little jobs like this help me advance in learning this wonderful parts production. I don’t know how to design my own parts yet, but hope to learn that skill sometime soon.

I modified how to assemble the parts slightly. I just CA’d the lights onto the back plate of the housing and it worked fine. I used two small screws per the instructions to attach the light onto the printed part that slides onto the nose gear strut.

I also made a simple soldering job attaching the wires from the new light to the OEM wires clipped from the light that came with the model.

I appreciate all of you who go to the trouble to add cool mods or embellishments to make our models stand out. Besides yourself, there are folks like Kallend and Elbee on Hobbysquawk who have helped me and others to add neat parts onto our airplanes.

If I find a small clear plastic part that looks like a light lens cover I might add that onto the nose lights, or might even just cut a couple of discs out of clear styrene. Or, it looks pretty good as it is, too.

Just received my F22 today put it together tomorrow have a few others to maiden and fly first waiting on the front gear support anyways. Can’t wait to take it up though

Dave Glad that design worked out for you. Another option for lens covers is for you do design a 3D printed version. Could be an easy 1st design project for you if you are ready to get into that.

Really like your transport covers. Red tags are a nice touch!

I have other parts for the F-22 on Cults as well as Thingiverse.

Hi Fast N Light: thanks for the suggestion on the lens covers. Question: is there a filament that will print in a clear look, not cloudy but more like glass? If so, I might try my first design at these light covers.

The foam covers really help out in transport in/out of my house to the car and then to the field. Th entrance road to he field is Very rough!

The red ribbons are good to be sure I don’t take off with one or more of the foam covers on the airplane! Don’t ask me how I know, just asking for a friend!🤣🤣
