My limited experience is with clear PC. It's not clear like glass, but maybe 80% transparent with a good print orientation. Resin printers can do much better, but I don't have one.

That's why I purchased the lenses from AliExpress. 15degree has a tight beam. 60 degree is very splashy eg bright from wide angles. I like the way they appear different together.

The foam covers really help out in transport in/out of my house to the car and then to the field. Th entrance road to he field is Very rough!

The red ribbons are good to be sure I don’t take off with one or more of the foam covers on the airplane! Don’t ask me how I know, just asking for a friend!🤣🤣

      • Hi FastNLight: I just ordered the light lens set from Ali Express. I found a pic of a F-22 closeup of the landing lights and I think I can come up with a reasonable facsimile using those light covers.

        Thanks!

        • I've got a used F-22 in good condition. I added lights and afterburner, filled the surface and airbrushed a fantasy desert design, based on the F-15 and the colourful tails of some F-16s. I used Vallejo for the first time, which was easy to use. Last step was weathering, which gives a more realistic effect. Grey is fine on the ground, but not in cloudy or winter sky conditions.
          It's a great flying jet :-)

              • I have the 90mm f-22 with the upgraded 8S setup. I’ve been having issues and leaning towards a speed controller issue. I’m looking to toss in a 120 avian esc so I can get all the telemetry from it. Do I need to tune the esc for this motor? Ie, max rpm, etc? I’m curious what settings to need to push to the esc via forward programming.

                thanks for the help, Lee

                • I would try to troubleshoot the stock ESC first. Is it the big black one with a separate BEC or the newer blue one? What is it doing or not doing?

                  • I am rebuilding my 90mm F-22 after a mishap...I ordered a new fuse which thankfully had all the extension wires installed...BUT... has no control rods installed on the nose gear doors. After my crash I could not find my old push rods for the nose gear doors either, so I need a couple if pictures of the push rods and how they are installed on the servo arm so I can make new ones...Can anyone help by posting some pics of this area?
                    Thanks in advance,
                    Bill

You can purchase all the pushrods separate, wouldn't hurt to have an extra set plus if you watch the build video on their web page you can see the nose gear door set up at around the 4:50 mark but you may have to slow the video down to see it properly, just a thought on that.

                            • Only issues I’ve had with my 90 that I’ve since fixed, front landing gear support and main landing gear strut screws kept coming loose. Ended up green locktite for the screws no more backing out and I bought a 3D printed support which cracked and I’ve yet to have a bounce landing so I made a 2 support mod that many many flights since not a single issue. Posting pics of what I did for the front gear. Very easy to do guys and no worries about 3D plastic cracking.

                                • Just finished up my 90 Raptor, KMRC blue burner, nav lights, running lights and illuminated cockpit. I also wired in disconnects for the wing lights so wings can be removed without wiring issues. Think she turned out great

If you are interested in a dual beam landing light, 3D print files (link) are available.

Thanks The download includes a .PDF with assembly guidance and more photos. The landing light is probably much easier than the others you have already done.

I am also working on printed housings for the navigation and formation lights. Hope to get those and a number of other projects finished in December.
