          • Finally caught a break in the weather and got the grass runway prepped for EDFs. Maiden +2 on the 6S Raptor.
Thanks to the developement team and Motion, it was another stress free EDF experience.
She has a very wide flight envelope and is just a joy to land.

Hey Topshot, nice work with your crew ladder. Does it attach to the fuselage with a magnet, or pins?

Is the ladder colapsable like Steve's?

                      • Not at the moment no. I could try, I don’t think 3d printers print quality are good enough to make it functional. Maybe the ones that are 20k. It would be held on by a magnet.

It would be with a magnet behind the ladder. Didn’t you have a printable ladder on your a-10 when it first came out. I remember seeing a picture with yours having one? Is that Stl file available anywhere?

                          • Absolutely right about the political nonsense downwind. Sorry, won't happen again. Just showing off my exciting Freewing A-10 and happened to have that on the wall as well.

It should be pretty easy. I've done telescoping parts with my prusa. If you want to give it a shot, I can post a drawing how you can do it.

Okay that would be awesome. I know 3d software good enough but not the ladder. So ya that would be sweet:Cool:

                                • Steve Hodges, You mentioned in one of your videos that you were able to close the nose gear door on the A10 with the gear down. How did you accomplish that? The sequencer seems to be built into the board. Your A10 is kind of the standard we are all looking at. Great job.

Hi bbolz - Pardon the interruption, i know the question was for SH but it is built into the board. It is easy enough to accomplish after the fact with a small external sequencer (like an EMS Jomar). I have an early version of this bird and use this on mine to keep the door open when the gear is down. Alternately, many of the newer transmitter units have sequencing capability built in. I have a Spektrum DX-18 now that has this capability. Anyway, I am just curious why you would want the door up with the gear down? Is it grass field related or some other reason?

                                    Cheers.

Please clarify. Are you talking about the front nose gear door or the rear nose gear door? The front door normally closes after the gear comes down. Then it opens again when the gear is about to retract. At least, mine does that. The rear door is pushed by the strut and is held in place by the strut when the gear is down and cannot close.

                                      • The grass field was what SH mentioned he had the ability to close the "front" door with the gear down. Now he's got me wondering if this already works that way, and I'll have to check it out tonight.

                                        • I was just looking at some photos and I think Steve is right, the door is closed when the nose gear is down. I didn't notice that. Great feature for grass fields.
