Hey, I can be the CTD, I don't mind. I just hope there is no 'C' about it. :Scared:

Looks sweet Todd. The graphics really complete it well. Great job!

        • Thanks guys! Really does finish it off nicely. Good ol' Callie to the rescue. Still have some nomenclature decals I need to figure out where they go, and truth be told, the "NO STEP" decals are too large, and there was just a couple decals still missing, but Callie is a rock star when it comes to sending out any missed decals in such a timely manner, no questions asked. If anyone has a complete decal map/key for Arctic Thunder please send it over!

Just have to add the fueling port section on the nose, do the rivet work, paint the struts white and I will be done tinkering with her and just enjoy flying her from here on out.

          :)

          • Awesome! That really completes the look.

Yeah, I brought up the too large of No Step decals regarding Callie's graphics for the A-10, but not sure if she saw it. We should probably contact her to let her know. I don't have one of her decal sheets for this jet, so I couldn't be positive if it was too large, but it appeared to be just from glancing at the other decals on the sheet to compare it to. Hopefully she can make this small modification to her decal offerings for this jet.

Based off the Mibo turbine version I used as my reference for this livery I would say the NO STEP decals are about twice the size they should be. Reduce them by 50% and that should work good. I will send Callie an email tomorrow and knowing her she will fix the issue in no time flat. I put two NO STEP decals on the port inboard leading edge and I stopped after that knowing they were too large. When I think about all the custom decals I've had Callie do for me through the years it is mind boggling to me how close she is on sizing. I would expect her to be off WAAAAY more than she is and that is a true testament to her skill.

I love painting and detailing but I get to the point I just want to stop obsessing and start flying. LOL

              • She seems extremely talented with graphic design, and I'm always impressed seeing how well she can scale it to each aircraft. Very cool!

                    • Sky Wolf, you're such a positive guy! One day I'd like to buy you and your son a lemonade and chocolate whatever-the-heck-that-was.

Good maiden and nice landing, Dahawk, I'm envious of your field and the group of guys you fly with. 'Seems like a fun group! The best part of this hobby is hanging out. I like your livery, also. Callie?

Reminder for everyone to test the glide ratio on this bird while clean, and then again while dirty. One or two clicks of throttle can help keep the aircraft level and descending slowly. That's the kind of approach I like for a no-bouncer. I barely use any elevator except for the flare at the very end.

Very nice video, had me smiling the whole time :)

I put my steering on another channel and tamed it down some.

Good point about steering. I kept mine at 50% throw, same channel for steering/rudder, though, per stock. She four point rolls with 50% rudder throw anyway, with speed.

RCjetdude, we tested scale faux outlets like yours, initially. I'll say just watch the thrust line. We had a lot of separation, too, without a proper ruled outlet and the cosmetic outlet hanging in the wind. 'Just something to watch out for.

I was going to use a Castle CC BEC (10A, 25V) hooked to a separate 2-cell li-po to run everything but the fans. Are you saying that I shouldn't use it? There is at most about 2 amps ever. Can I use a CC BEC 2.0? Or should I go all the way to a CC BEC PRO? What do you mean by "headroom"?
                            Thank you.
